Reflect on the work that you did on your Trading Card project.

Identify three PowerPoint features that you used to

create your trading card and think about how you would explain to someone else how to use that feature. Write
instructions on how to use each feature.

Please follow these directions in writing your instructions:

1. Write your instructions on Microsoft Word or Google Docs and upload your document to
Schoology when you are finished.
2. The instructions for each feature should be in their own paragraph; each paragraph should
have a heading.
3. Check your work for proper spelling and grammar.

This assignment will count as a Portfolio assignment for this marking period.

WordArt
Word art was one of the features I used to create my project. To use WordArt in
PowerPoint, first, open your PowerPoint presentation and go to the slide where you want to add
WordArt. Then, click on the insert tab in the top menu and select wordArt from the options
button. Choose a WordArt style from the gallery or click more wordart to access additional
options. Type the text you want in the text box, and customize the font, size, color, and style
using the options in the WordArt tools format tab that appears when you select WordArt. You
can also apply effects like shadows, reflections, and 3D formatting to make your WordArt stand
out. Once you're finished with the appearance, click outside the WordArt box to apply it to your
slide.
Themes
Another one of the features I used was the theme option. To use themes in PowerPoint, start by
opening your presentation and go to the design tab. In there you'll find some pre designed themes
to choose from. Click on a theme to apply it to your entire presentation, changing the
background, fonts, colors, and effects to match the theme. You can also customize the theme by
selecting variants to choose different color schemes or by clicking on background styles to adjust
the background design. Themes in PowerPoint are a quick and easy way to give your
presentation a professional look without spending a lot of time on designing individually.
Fonts
The last feature I will mention is the font. In PowerPoint, you can use different fonts to enhance
the appearance of your presentations. To change the font of text in a slide, first, select the text
box or the specific text you want to modify. Then, go to the Home tab on the ribbon, where
you'll find the font group. Click on the dropdown menu next to the font name to see a list of
usable fonts. You can either choose a font from this list or click on "More Fonts" to access
additional font options from the library. Once you've selected a font, the text in your slide will
update to reflect the new style. Also, you can adjust the font size, color, and other formatting
options using the tools in the Font group to further customize your text's appearance.
