Being pro bod positivity mean supporting the fact that people can actually, be happy with
their bodies even if they don’t match the standards.
Pros;
- being happy with your body
- people will have less mental charges since they will not be paying attention to standards
anymore
- We’re also fighting the fact that we cannot judge peoples health based on their appearance.
- You can take care of yourself and adopt new positive behaviors for your health, regardless
of your weight.
- some people think that the problem in our society is not that we are not attracted to fat
bodies, but that no one can be attracted to fat people.

On the other hand some people think that

Cons;
- it is not healthy; we can't be “positive” as this movement says, towards something that is bad
for health.
- it actually promote being fat and unhealthy and can make children in danger if they are
overweight
- Some people think thinner is pretty = example for the Victoria Secret runaway it has been
stopped because it promoted unhealthy underweight bodies but some people thing that this is
the charm of models and runaway and that underweight model are just here to emphasize the
clothes and not their body.
- some people claim the right not to be attracted to certain morphologies. We have the right
not to find a beautiful obese body without being considered discriminators.

Body positivity is a social movement that promotes a positive view of all bodies, regardless of
size, shape, skin tone, gender, and physical abilities. Through all these years, beauty standards
have taken a huge place in our society, some qualities are required to be qualified as pretty.
However since 2018, some people especially women have started a movement in order to help
women accepts their body and the way they are. Accepting the fact that not matching the
standards set by the society doesn't mean being ugly, it just mean being you and being unique
and pretty the way you are.
