Command vehicle
Combat vehicle

Combat vehicle

The command vehicle performs air situation information comprehensive processing,

target assignment and designation and anti-jamming cooperation, and commands the
combat vehicles in air defense combat.

62
6. Tactical operational application

6.1 Operational mode

When the command vehicle is damaged in combat or the operational mission is carried out
by multiple combat vehicles only, one of combat vehicles is set as the master combat
vehicle to command other vehicles in Master-slave operational mode.

63
6. Tactical operational application

6.1 Operational mode

A combat vehicle forms a fire unit. Single-vehicle independent combat is the typical
operational mode, it is mainly used in field air defense. The commander may choose the
most threatening target and intercept it independently according to the set operational
command principle.

64
6. Tactical operational application

6.2 Operational application

Linear deployment

In escorting air defense protection, four combat vehicles and one command
vehicle are arranged in the marching formation sequence.

65
6. Tactical operational application

6.2 Operational application

One-line deployment

With possible incoming direction of target determined, the above

application can expand the site defense width.

66
6. Tactical operational application

6.2 Operational application

Two-line deployment

It can be used for enlarging interception depth and for mutual protection
between combat vehicles.
67
6. Tactical operational application

6.2 Operational application

Circular depolyment

With incoming direction of target undetermined, the circular depolyment can be

adopted. At this time the combat vehicles are deployed in circular shape around the
key point, with the command vehicle in the center.
68
6. Tactical operational application

6.2 Operational application

Sector deployment

For the defense sector of the weapon system stipulated by the HE, the sector
deployment can be adopted. Four combat vehicles are deployed in the sector, and
the command vehicle is located in the sector center to cover the designated air
defense sector.
69
7. Maintenance

Two-level maintenance system: O-level and D-level.

O-level maintenance- conducted by the operation and repair units of the troops
• Fault detection by means of real-time monitoring, function self-check and maintenance
test program of the combat vehicle
• Faulty parts replacement with the spare parts on the combat vehicle and electromechanical
maintenance vehicle
• Function check of missile module with the missile test system

D-level maintenance - conducted in the service center

It is mainly used to remove the faults that cannot be solved in the O-level, including
faulty parts repair, system calibration and missile troubleshooting.
