Graffiti: art or vandalism?
Graffiti walls are considered a serious problem mainly in Latin America, but also in other
parts of the world, but is it always viewed negatively? Did you know that in certain cases
people pay for that?
It is true that most of the time graffiti is employed in ways that are not good. Usually, those
responsible are young people who have nothing to do, and their way of spending time is by
damaging private property for purely recreational purposes, leaving aside aesthetics and
creativity. However, there are clearly also talented street artists who seek to express
themselves through graffiti on murals.
Personally, the "problem" really becomes a problem when it is used with evil and not for
cultural purposes. The solution to vandal graffiti is to fine without exception all those
responsible and most importantly, to implement workshops or recreational places where
young people can unload their energy.
Graffiti can be art and vandalism at the same time, everything depends on perspective and
intentions, but of course the graffiti not required must be punished.
