I Practical Significance
In order to work on computer system, it is a good idea that students get familiar with various
components of computer systems and their functioning. Students must also be familiar with the
various network infrastructure com ponents and networking environment in which they have to
work. Through these hands-on practice students will be able to acquire these basic skills before
they really use computer systems for given purpose.
Basic knowledge: Apply knowledge of basic mathematics, science and basic engineering to solve
the problems related to application of computers and com Muni cation services in storing,
manipulating and transmitting data, often in the context of a business or other enterprise.
Experiments and practice: Plan to perform experiments, practices and to use the results to
solve Information Techno logy related problems.
Engineering tools: Apply appropriate Information Technology related techniques/ tools
with an understanding of the limitations.
Ethics: Apply ethical principles for commitment to professional ethics, responsibilities and
nuns of practice in the field of Information Technology.
Individual and team work: Function effectively as a leader and team member in diverse/
multidisciplinary teams.
V Practical Skills
Identify computer system components, peripherals and various components used in network.
IX Resources required
X Procedure
1. Identify the internal components of computer system and explain their functions.
2. Observe the inter-connect ion between each component of compute r system.
3. Identify the input output devices and peripheral devices of computer system.
4. Explain the physical layout of the network components and explain their functions.
XI Precautions
1. Hand le computer system with care.
XVI Results
We will get the basic knowledge of computer system.
XX Exercise
Note: Below given are few sample questions for reference. Teachers must design more
