As of my last update in January 2022, it's challenging to definitively state which country has the

highest prevalence of dementia, as data can vary depending on factors such as population
demographics, healthcare infrastructure, and reporting practices. However, some regions, particularly
those with aging populations and longer life expectancies, tend to have higher rates of dementia.
Countries with aging populations, such as Japan, several European nations (including Finland,
Sweden, and Norway), and the United States, often report higher prevalence rates of dementia due to
the increased risk with age. Additionally, improved healthcare infrastructure and diagnostic
capabilities in these countries may contribute to higher rates of detection and reporting.
It's essential to note that dementia is a global health challenge, and its prevalence is expected to rise as
populations age worldwide. Efforts to improve early detection, treatment, and support for individuals
with dementia and their caregivers are crucial in addressing this public health issue.
