We have a history of providing advice for over 130 years and
have a team of highly qualified advisers across the UK. We have

With you every step of the way


You will have your own named financial adviser who you can
contact whenever you need them. Your adviser builds an in-depth
understanding of your financial situation, so that their advice
is specific to your own circumstances and financial goals. Your
financial situation changes as you move through life. Expected
and sometimes unexpected events mean that your financial plans
need to be regularly reviewed and updated. Your personal adviser
will guide you every step of the way as your circumstances change.

Our service – transparent and no surprises


It’s very important to us that you are clear and comfortable with
the services we provide and our charges. That’s why we are
completely transparent in our approach. We charge on a fee basis
and provide a detailed breakdown of the work we are undertaking
for you, along with all associated fees. We won’t go ahead with
any chargeable work without your prior agreement.

We help you make confident choices about your finances. Your
adviser can regularly review your financial plans and explain their
recommendations. In addition, as part of your ongoing Client
Service Agreement, we will keep you fully up to date with relevant
financial, regulatory and fund updates, Budget commentaries,
and send you our exclusive client magazine, Aspire.

would if you approached the product or service provider directly.

Origen Financial Services is directly authorised and regulated
by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). You also have the
reassurance that you are covered by the Financial Ombudsman
Service and Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS).

How do we help with your financial needs?
Our service goes beyond the initial advice need you may have.
We also provide a comprehensive approach to financial planning
including investment planning, family protection, retirement
planning, long term care, pension transfers and passing on your
wealth tax efficiently.

What does good advice look like?


We discuss your long term plans, personal and financial objectives
and identify steps to help you achieve your financial goals. We
identify any gaps and help to address any priority areas.

What are the benefits of advice?


Financial planning can be complex. A financial adviser offers
market knowledge, expertise and provides a professional,
impartial view of your financial plans.
If you are looking after your own financial plans, think about
how much time it takes you and also consider whether you are
fully up to date on all of the technical rules, jargon and the latest
regulations to identify the planning opportunities available?
We protect our clients and won’t recommend unregulated products
that we consider carry too much risk or lack liquidity, making them
hard to sell when the proceeds are needed. Regulated products
also have the additional protection of the Financial Services
Compensation Scheme.

Giving you confidence in our advice


Every Origen adviser has to maintain and demonstrate their knowledge
as part of their ongoing development. In accordance with the Senior
Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR), on an annual basis,
Origen assesses that our directors, senior managers and advisers
continue to be fit and proper to perform their roles. We also expect
all staff to adhere to the SMCR conduct rules, which ensures that
there is greater individual accountability and high standards of
personal conduct.
We record our advice appointments and our phone and online calls,
with your consent, to ensure we deliver our services in line with your
expectations. We also have an experienced in-house Business Quality
Unit who is responsible for checking our advice before we provide
our recommendations, providing you with additional reassurance.

Our ongoing services
You will receive a Client Service Agreement which shows the services
we provide in respect of any ongoing fees that are agreed with your
adviser. These services include:

• Proactive regular reviews – We arrange regular financial


reviews to check that you remain on target to achieve your
financial goals.

• Product and fund monitoring – We monitor the products


and funds marketplace, so that we can alert you when any
recommendations or investment choices may need to be
reviewed. We also use external expertise from Morningstar,
who provide independent research on all UK funds, to ensure
that our panelled funds continue to meet the aims which they
set out to achieve.

• Financial Updates – We provide regular Financial Updates,


which includes financial news and helpful planning tips.

• Budget Updates – We provide commentaries and summary


reports by email to keep you up to date on government
financial announcements.

• Aspire – You will receive our exclusive lifestyle and financial


magazine.

Initial Review your Advice and Implementation Ongoing

Initial appointment - At the initial appointment, our financial advisers take the time
to understand your current financial position and help you to create a plan to achieve
your financial goals.

Review your financial situation - Our advisers will review your circumstances so that
any advice or service we provide is specific to your financial situation. To help us to
help you, please gather information about your existing financial plans which may
include pensions, investments and protection policies. We can identify any gaps or
shortfalls you may have and if your planning is on track, we will reassure you that this
is the case.

Advice and recommendations - After discussing the results of the review, we will
deliver a personal recommendations report tailored to your needs and financial goals.

Implementation - We will then carry out the agreed recommendations and keep you
informed about the progress of putting them in place.

Ongoing service - Our service doesn’t stop there. We provide a range of ongoing services
including regular reviews and monitoring the performance of your investments. We
keep you regularly up to date with important financial issues and advice tips and our
exclusive client magazine ‘Aspire’.
