1.0 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

This assignment was about a business activity for students to sell products to anyone in 1
month. I choose to be a dropship in a food business for Cookies Lishes. There was no budget
needed as I am not required to pay for any fee. The outcome sales I obtain was RM 26 for RM
2 each unit. For the preparation of this products, I got the promotions material pamphlets,
videos, and pictures from the support group team. After obtaining the materials, I will start
promoting it in my social media like WhatsApp and Instagram. From there, I will start receiving
orders from my friends, family and random people that interested in my product.

3.0 PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Based on this assignment, I was a dropship to the Cookies Lishes Chocokies. Chocokies is a
perfect combination of handmade chocolate chips cookies from scratch and covered with a
premium melted milk chocolate. I sold this product through social media like Instagram and
WhatsApp platform, because these day social media have become a trend and it was easier to
promote the product online. Social media platform also attracts more youngster as it was my
main target circle to sell this product. This project took 1 month to accomplish, and it started
on 15th Apr 2022 until 19th May 2022.

My first step before starting the business was contacting the Cookies Lishes team to ask the
details to become the dropship on 18th Apr 2022 and I officially started selling this product on
20th Apr 2022. There was no starting modal because I was not required to pay any fee to the
Cookies Lishes team. After agreeing with the conditions from the team, I started prepared some
advertisement materials such as picture and video to promote my products through my social
media. My target for this project was to sell this product to the young generation population
because they tend to take interest on dessert and sweets, especially for chocolate.

The reasons why I choose this product were because it was convenience to eat and delicious.
The product also a shareable food as they can share it with anyone such as friends and family.
And the most important reason I choose this product was because I do not have to keep any
stock and delivered the product to the customer. The Chocokies only have 1 flavour for RM 19
and according to the team, the dropship price is RM 17, and I will receive RM 2 as profits for
each unit. I hope this project could give me a few important lesson and experience for me to
use for the future.

From the beginning of the business, as a dropship I need to keep contacting the owner and
supplier if I have any question that I do not understand. Informing the supplier is also required
if there is any order.

- Marketing

Since I am a dropship, I only need to promote the advertising materials that was prepared by
the Cookies Lishes team. The platform that I used is from social media such as WhatsApp and
Instagram.

Key Resources

- High quality ingredients

The chocolate chip cookies and chocolate are the main priority of the product, they always
make sure the ingredients they use are high quality and can produce a good and fresh Chocokies
for the customers. Usually, they check the expired date and temperature for all ingredients
before start to bake. Next, they also keep the cookies in a good temperature refrigeration to
maintain good and fresh cookies from time to time. The cookies can last up a long time until
they gone bad and make a new batch of Chocokies for the customers.

- Good baker

The kitchen always ensures that the baker produces excellent cookies and melted chocolate. A
competent baker has a high qualification in terms of their culinary school as well as their baker
training that they complete before becoming a baker in a bakery. The baker also has excellent
communication, time and resource management, planning, and diligence, which is especially
important when inspecting materials and goods for quality.

- Halal

As we all know, most of the Malaysia's population is Malay Muslim, and it is critical that they
consume only acceptable or allowed food. The Halal accreditation for Cookies Lishes assures
Muslim customers that the cookies and chocolate are made with halal ingredients and
processes. Muslims like halal food because it fits certain criteria that they think make it fit for
ingestion. Furthermore, many Muslim and non-Muslim countries adhere to Malaysian
standards and legislation. All of the cookies and chocolate satisfy their specifications, allowing
the company to reap significant profits in the future.

- Original recipe

The chocolate chip cookies and melted milk chocolate from Cookies Lishes is an original
recipe that have been perfected to create a perfect product.

- Customer feedback

The Cookies Lishes usually required a dropship to receive feedback from the customers after
they taste the Chocokies. The customer gives a feedback text to me after they finish eating. The
Cookies Lishes team also recommend the customers to make a review on social media about
the Chocokies. The feedback really helps the business to improve according to satisfaction that
the customer needs.

- Promotions

The Cookies Lishes also provide a promotion according to a special festival or season. Other
than that, they also do a promotion once a month to attract more customers to buy or purchased
the Chocokies. A lot of promotions also can help to grow the business in the future and at the
same time they can achieve the main goals.

- Dropship

The Cookies Lishes have opened a dropship for anyone interested in joining the team in order
to reach out to the market. Aside from that, they leverage dropship to reduce risk and cost while
providing convenience and practicality. Furthermore, dropship decreases the number of times
a product has to change hands, the amount of goods that are damaged during transportation is
often smaller. Indeed, the Cookies Lishes can benefit handsomely from any platform they
utilize to promote the product.

- Social media

The Cookies Lishes require me to use social media platform to promote the Chocokies.
Furthermore, I also keep update about the item that team provide in the social media such as
Instagram and WhatsApp. Indeed, social media really helps the business to grow and gives the
product known to the public.

Customer Segments

- Teenagers

As we know, teenager nowadays loves sweets and dessert because its suite their taste. The
Cookies Lishes product design also attract the customer, especially teenagers. This is because,
the Chocokies has becoming a trend throughout the year. The Chocokies is also beautifully and
attractively decorated by the Cookies Lishes team.

- Families and friends

The Chocokies is suitable and enjoyable for families and friends because it is shareable.

- People who love dessert

The Cookies Lishes open for people who love desserts. They are all welcome to buy the
Chocokies. Especially, for those who love sweets because the cookies and chocolate are mostly
use as the main product.

Cost Structure

- Internet cost

Since I am promoting the Chocokies on social media such as WhatsApp and Instagram, I
required to have an excellent internet connection that surely brings some cost. But there is no
starting fee to be the dropship for the Cookies Lishes team.

Revenue Streams

- Online payment

The Cookies Lishes required me to use an online payment for every sale that I generate.
Basically, online payment is collecting money through internet. They use the most common
payment forms online which is online bank-in. This online payment helps the customers to pay
the Chocokies at me and give me the easier job to directly transfer the money to the Cookies
Lishes team.

6.0 EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING

The original goal of this business opportunity was to introduce students to real-world business
situations. I can study the entrepreneur process from idea to entrepreneur venture through this
business opportunity. I think the most crucial step in this process is determining whether an
idea is a viable business possibility. The initiator of a business venture is the business
opportunity, which consists of a set of market circumstances that allow a company idea to
become a business enterprise. There are a variety of ways that may be used to evaluate and
validate a business idea. For example, in this business opportunity, I use the Business Modal
Canvas (BMC) to determine whether the business idea may be pursued.

Overall, the lesson is I recommend a person who are just establishing a business to start at the
bottom and work their way up to reduce risk. As a dropshipper, I was able to learn how to sell
a product on social media. Being a dropship agent was the best option for me because I did not
have to retain the stuff and even post the products because I am a full-time student. The Cookies
Lishes team are in charge of everything. Although the compensation is minimal, I am thrilled
and satisfied when customers purchase the product I sell. Also, the customer trust is critical in
persuading customers that the product or service given is genuine and not fake. Lastly, I am
ashamed to tell, but honestly, I think doing business is not my thing and I will not continue to
be a dropship after this project. One experience is enough for me.

7.0 CONCLUSION

Finally, this project has taught me a lot about business and how to sharpen a person's creative
abilities and competence in thinking to create smart decisions and strategies so that the
company's products can continue to flourish. This business experiment also suggests that every
student could create a side job, such as a small business, to increase their income. It is simply
an issue of how much a person is ready to sacrifice in order to increase their income.
