Problem:
A researcher wants to determine if three different treatment methods can lead
to different average hospital time of COVID-19 patients. A sample of 30 COVID-19
patients were selected and randomly assigned 10 to use a particular treatment method.
The data is given below:

Method A Method B Method C

10 8 9

9 9 8

8 10 7

7.5 8 10

8.5 8.5 9

9 7 8

10 9.5 7

8 9 10

8 7 9

9 10 8

Use JAMOVI to perform the test at 0.05. Interpret results completely. (50 points)
Assumptions

Null Hypothesis: There is no significant difference in the average hospital times

among the three (3) treatment methods.

Alternative Hypothesis: There is a significant difference in the average hospital

times among the three (3) treatment methods.

Rule
If p-value is less than 0.05, reject null hypothesis. Otherwise retain.

Results
Decision: Fail to reject the null hypothesis.

Interpretation

The p-value is 0.903 (Welch's) and is greater than 0.05. Therefore, iat failed to
reject the null hypothesis. Normality Test (Shapiro-Wilk) results in greater p-value
than 0.05. Therefore, there is no violation of the assumptions of normality. The
homogeneity of variances test shows a greater p-value of 0.599, and is greater than
0.05. This indicates that there is no violation in the assumptions, and the variance is
homogeneous.

Conclusion

Therefore, retain the null hypothesis since the p-value is greater than 0.05
which is 0.903 (Welch's). This implies that there is no significant difference among
the 3 different treatment methods that can lead to different average hospital times.
Indicating that it does not support the claim that the 3 different treatment methods
affect the average hospital time of the covid 19 patients.
