Abstract: Information technology benefits the world and is crucial for healthcare
systems, including electronic medical records (EMR). We have proposed a
systematic model to explore the potential benefits of integrating IoT with 5G
networks in various healthcare services, such as EMR. Telemedicine faces usage
restrictions in rural areas, where physicians encounter challenges in providing
continuous monitoring to patients. Calls or video conferences in these areas may
be significantly affected by poor networks, signals, and noncompatible devices,
leading to potential treatment delays. The combination of 5G networks with IoT
devices is widely considered a game changer in communication technology. The
IoT model facilitates information acquisition, evaluating its benefits based on
criteria that encompass 5G and IoT features aligned with healthcare service
requirements. This paper introduces a model that leverages IoT and 5G
technology to enhance the efficiency and efficacy of healthcare services. Our
primary research methodologies include literature review and modelling. The
results obtained from this study have applicability across various healthcare
services, leveraging information technology to enhance the overall quality of
health services within the industry.
