CHAPTER I

CULTURE

KYA-KYA | @2022 | SUB

Kya-Kya offers the city of Surabaya a wonderful open-

ing to culture. Indeed, this district presents itself as a
mixture of Asian culture where everyone is welcome.
The Chinese culture is highlighted through the archi-
tecture first typically Chinese which is felt throughout
the street. Then by the food served, by the clothes
worn by the workers and by the music played. All this
cultural difference is discovered by Indonesians and
visitors through this street. The following pictures are
an overview of the cultural potential of this street.
