Symptom
Error message M8 889 "Account XXXXXX has been set as not relevant for tax" occurs when attempting to post or
simulate an invoice in MIRO.

Reproducing the Issue

1. Execute transaction MIRO
2. Enter all relevant details
3. Introduce Purchase Order number
4. Simulate/Post invoice

Cause
The G/L account specified in the Purchase Order is set to 'Not relevant to tax' in the master data.

The SAP Note 3109666 may have been implemented during a recent upgrade. The implementation of this note changes
the code within the program LMRMPF1Y, This then causes the error to be triggered if the related posting line has the
transaction keys BSX, PRD or KDM.

Resolution
1. Check the 'Tax category' settings under the 'Control Data' tab for the affected G/L account in transaction FS00.
If the G/L account is relevant for Output Tax, the G/L account will work for all Output Tax codes.

2. If the requirement is that the 'Tax category' is not to be changed.

Set the error message M8889 as a Warning or deactivate it in transaction OMRM.
