e Arts & Culture Pride, het
culturele programma van Pride
Amsterdam is dit jaar weer vol een
divers! Er zijn al tientallen voorstellingen,
exposities, films, talks en tours aangemeld
op locaties door de hele stad. Daarnaast
wordt The Social Hub aan de Wibautstraat
omgetoverd tot Pride Hub met een dagelijks
cultuurprogramma.
Het thema van Pride Amsterdam is
#YouAreIncluded, dat staat voor alle
individuen en groepen die strijden voor
gelijke rechten. Zichtbaarheid is hiervoor van
groot belang en daarbij hoort ook een vol en
divers kunst- & cultuurprogramma, van en
voor de hele LHBTIQ+ community.
Vol en gevarieerd programma
Het programma varieert van kleine
persoonlijke initiatieven tot grote producties.
Wat opvalt is het grote aantal exposities,
zoals Like a River: queer en trans foto’s uit
de Amazone in Melkweg Expo, Pop Art en
kunstmatige intelligentie in GO Gallery,
een nieuwe expositie van fotograaf Noah
Valentyn in Pulitzer Amsterdam en in het
Ramses Shaffyhuis is MOREPIXX te zien,
de expositie van de internationale gay fetisj
fotowedstrijd. Ook het Rijksmuseum doet
mee met de Pink tour.
HET THEMA VAN
PRIDE AMSTERDAM IS
#YOUAREINCLUDED
Er is ook weer veel queer theater dit jaar, met
onder andere De Mol en de Paradijsvogel in
DeLaMar theater, waarin de verhalen van
een Syrische vluchteling zich vervlecht met
dat van televisie- en theaterpersoonlijkheid
Albert Mol, die als eerste BN’er publiekelijk
uit de kast kwam; Ruis in de Pride Hub,
met persoonlijke verhalen van 11 queer
jongeren en hun kijk op de wereld en het o-zo
tolerante Nederland; en Comedy Nights in de
Pride Hub.
De Hortus organiseert een programma over
Genderdiversiteit in de plantenwereld met
queer speed dating, er is een filmprogramma
in de Pride Hub en openlucht cinema op het
Mercatorplen en Gershwinplein en ook
COC’s Shakespeare Club is er weer.
Die bestaat 75 jaar en is daarmee de oudste
LHBTIQ+ organisatie. En dat wordt gevierd
met een vol en divers programma in
de Hermitage.

Arts & Culture Pride 2023, the cultural program
of Pride Amsterdam, is again very diverse!
Dozens of performances, exhibitions, films,
talks and tours have already been registered
at locations throughout the city.
The Social Hub on Wibautstraat will be
transformed into a Pride Hub with a daily
cultural program. Pride Amsterdam’s theme
is #YouAreIncluded, which stands for all
individuals and groups who fight for equal
rights. Visibility is an important integral part of
the them, and that includes a full and diverse
arts & culture program, from and for the entire
LGBTIQ+ community.
Full and Varied Programme
The programme varies from small personal
initiatives to large productions. What is striking
is the large number of exhibitions, such as
Like a River: queer and trans photos from the
Amazon in Melkweg Expo, Pop Art and artificial
intelligence in GO Gallery, a new exhibition
by photographer Noah Valentyn in Pulitzer
Amsterdam, and the Ramses Shaffyhuis hosts
MOREPIXX, an exhibition of the international gay
fetish photo contest. The Rijksmuseum is also
participating in the Pink tour.
This year, there is an abundance of queer
theatre, including De Mol and de Paradijsvogel in
DeLaMar theatre, in which the stories of a Syrian
refugee are intertwined with those of television
and theatre personality Albert Mol, who was
the first Dutch celebrity to publicly come out of
the closet; Ruis in the Pride Hub, with personal
stories of eleven queer young people and
their view of the world and the oh-so tolerant
Netherlands; and Comedy Nights at the Pride Hub.
The Hortus Botanicus is organizing a program
about gender diversity in the plant world with
queer speed dating, there is a film program
