High Alloy Austenitic Stainless Steel

ASTM A182/A182M is a standard material specification for forged

bars and components, including grade this super austenitic
grade alloy F904L alternatively known by UNS N08904. Alloy 904L
was originally developed to withstand environments containing
dilute sulfuric acid. It also offers good resistance to other
inorganic acids such as hot phosphoric acid as well as most
organic acids.904L provides good chloride stress corrosion
cracking resistance, pitting and general corrosion resistance
superior to 316L and 317L molybdenum enhanced stainless
steels. Boltport uses ASTM A182/A182M specification to produce
fasteners such as screws, nuts and other machined components.

Heat Treatment: Solution annealing between 1050 - 1150°C (1920 - 2100°F) and water quench below 260°C (500°).
