Situation: Choose one (1) media and information trend and explain how this came
about, including its impact on society and its influence on you.

Question: Based on your perception of the current society and the behavior of the
current generation, what future trends do you expect to see in 10 years?

I chose Massive Open Online Course (MOOC). Massive Open Online Course is a free web-based distance
learning program that is designed for large numbers of geographically dispersed students. It is also an
online course that a student accesses through the internet. Typically, these courses consist of traditional
class materials made accessible online. I chose this because, it gives us the privilege to listen and learn
distantly. The impact on the society of this trend is big, for example. Online Seminars are one of the
examples of MOOC, it impacted the society because of the pandemic MOOC helped us to listen and
learn without us being on a certain place. It influenced me by of course us having the online learning, I
know that this is one of the best examples of MOOC. It also influenced me to attend online seminars,
especially on Music Seminars and sometimes seminars on how to be a good leader.

Based on my perception of the current society and the behavior of the current generation, I think the
future trends that will be commonly seen in 10 years is Wearable Technology and Artificial Intelligence
or A.I. Why? As I see in our era, kids nowadays are usually wearing things like, smart watches, smart
glasses, Bluetooth earphones, etc. We can also see that many people are developing A.I or Artificial
Intelligence, like robots and such. I see these things as a future trends that I expect to see in 10 years.
