6. Course Description:
Manufacturing is one of the main functions of the enterprise. It is the process of creating
products and services for the market. Lean manufacturing has an important role in operating
company, it impacts on the result of the company operation through continuous improvement and
process changes for reducing non-value added activities and elimination of wastes.
This course provide students the fundamental concepts, terminology related to lean
manufacturing such as the seven wastes and lean tools, principles, lean manufacturing system and
ect.. This is a majored subject which helps students master the theory and apply it in practice in
the manufacturing and service enterprises, and it is also Six sigma’s prerequisite course.

12. Course Policy:


+ Any homework and midterm test which is found unauthorized will be deducted 100%
point of the on-going assessment; in case of 3 or more papers are similar to each other, all
owners will be prohibited from the final exam (regardless of the author and the copiers).
+ Students who do not complete the task shall be suspended and disciplinary proposals in
front of the entire school
+ In case of there is a student take the test on the name of another, both of them will be
suspended or expelled from the university.
