Regarding Sending Lunch/Water Bottle/Other Items Forgotten by Students during Ongoing School
Hours and Policy Update on Minimization of Midday Leaves

Dear Parents/Guardians (Pre-Nursery to XII),

In our ongoing commitment to fostering a conducive learning environment and ensuring the academic
progress of our students, we are implementing a policy update regarding midday leaves and the
handling of forgotten items during school hours.

Effective immediately, we urge parents to refrain from taking their children out of school during midday
hours except in cases of genuine emergencies or unavoidable circumstances. It is being observed that
interruptions in the learning process, such as midday leaves, have a detrimental impact on students'
academic performance and disrupt the overall school system.

While we understand that unforeseen situations may arise, it is imperative to prioritize full attendance
whenever possible to maintain a consistent and productive learning environment. In adherence to this
policy, we encourage active participation of students in classes until the end of the school day and
request your cooperation in minimizing midday leaves for your children.

Additionally, we would like to address the issue of forgotten items, such as lunch boxes and water
bottles, stationary items, etc. We kindly request parents not to send these items to school for children
who forget to carry them during ongoing school hours. We urge parents to carefully check the bags of
their children every day to ensure they have all necessary items. Henceforth, the reception will not
accept these items to be sent to children during ongoing school hours, as such occurrences disrupt the
smooth operations of the school.

Your understanding and kind cooperation in upholding these policies are crucial in promoting the well-
being and academic success of all our students. Together, let us strive to ensure a seamless and enriching
educational journey for every child at Delhi Public School Jammu.
