1. INTRODUCTION:

People are the most important asset of an organization. The success, goodwill of the
organization depends upon its people; good and healthy industrial relations depend on the co-
operation and mutual understanding between Labor and management.

As Labor is considered as an important asset of an organization it is duty of the


organization to keep them safe and healthy. It becomes necessary to provide the workers safe
working environment particularly those who work on complex machines. It is duty of the
organization to follow all the safety related rules given under Factories act 1948. Safe working
environment helps in the reduction of accidents and thereby leads to increase productivity.

Good Health of the Labor helps in reduction of absenteeism and increase productivity.
Organization must carry out various Health related programs to include good health habits
among workers.

Welfare is more dynamic concept; welfare includes various facilities forwarded


towards workers.

A good safety, health and welfare facility helps to maintain cordial relations in the
organization.

2. IMPORTANCE OF STUDY:

 The study gives the information about various Safety, Health and Welfare facilities
provided by the company.

 To study various Safety provision of the company, in order to reduce accidents.

 To study various Health related provisions and programs conducted by the company.

 To study the Welfare facilities, which helps to motivate the employees and also
improve the efficiency of workers.

3. OBJECTIVES OF THE SUTUDY:

a) To study safety polices about company.

b) To study various safety provisions and safety equipment’s provided by the company.

c) To study the causes of accidents.

d) To evaluate various health programs conducted by the company.

e) To study various welfare facilities provided by the company.

f) To understand what are the expectation of the workers.

4. RESEARCH METHODOLOGY:

In order to achieve the various objectives as mentioned as methodology adopted
for study, researcher has collected data by following tools.

1] Primary data:

The researcher has collected the needed data directly from the respondents for his study.

1) Observation 2) Discussion 3) Questionnaire

2] Secondary data:

The researcher has used articles, reports, company profile, organization manuals and
various documents from HR department for the secondary data collection.
