-In these modern days, social networks are extremely well-known, with features such

as chat, email, movies, and sharing daily life like a blog. There are hundreds of
different social networks in the world, so can you name some social networking
sites?
-Today I will give a presentation about a very popular social networking site
around the world, Facebook.
-So what is facebook?
+ Facebook is a freely accessible website operated by Facebook, Inc. It was founded
in 2004 by Harvard student Mark E. Zuckerberg with help from his roommates Dustin
Moskovitz and Chris Hughes. Facebook was originally for Harvard students then
expanded to other colleges then to anyone over the age of 18, and now currently to
anyone 13 years of age or older.
+Users can join networks organized by city, workplace, school, and region to
connect and communicate with others.

-From there, we can point out some of the positive impacts that Facebook brings:
+ Facebook helps you connect with friends: on the Facebook application, we can
easily get to know many people. With free and unlimited chat capabilities, this is
a tool that can help you chat and chat easily and conveniently. When you
communicate on Facebook, you can connect with your friends and get updates about
their lives. You can keep in touch with your friends even when you don't have time
to meet them. Sometimes you will find old friends from the past that are difficult
to meet in another place.
+ Facebook helps update information quickly: using Facebook helps you update
friends' information and what's happening around you. Updating information in a
modern society like today is something that should and must be done. Facebook is
also an effective channel for receiving information, because of the popularity of
Facebook, information is also posted more quickly.
+ Another idea Facebook is an effective advertising environment for businesses:
with the information that users share, Facebook will rely on it to place ads with
each audience to suit their interests. This way, the ad will get more attention.

-Although Facebook has such benefits, it also has negative effects that greatly
affect users:
+ Reduce human interaction: imagine how your friends and relatives will feel when
meeting them and you keep staring at Facebook through your Smartphone?! Being
addicted to social networks makes you spend less time with real people around you.
Gradually, relationships will break down and no one will want to see you anymore.
+ Lack of privacy: there have been incidents of social networking sites selling
users' personal information, adding more risks from hackers and viruses. These all
warn that personal privacy is gradually disappearing as social networks develop. If
you are not wise when posting information online, you will become a victim on
social networks at some point.
+ Neglecting personal goals: focusing too much on social networks can easily make
people forget the real goals of life. Instead of focusing on finding a future job
by learning the necessary skills, young people only focus on becoming "keyboard
warriors" and famous online.
