From a young age, I have been a hard-working student and began my education at St Peter

Eaton Square where I participated in a writing award in Year 2 and go my short story published.
This writing award was one of the plethora of achievements I have accomplished during my
education as it shows I was inquisitive and studious. While in primary school, I also received a
headteacher’s award for my writing on a certain topic highlighting at a young age had a growth
mindset and was resilient. In secondary school, I have been able to help the younger years
below me by providing peer mentoring to help students in my schools to adopt a positive
mindset and help students if they had any bonds as it is crucial I was able to build a strong bond
between my peer .Being a peer mentor has helped me in collaborate and listen to other people
which will be key in sixth form. Through my hard-working mindset built at a young age I have
become a responsible and euphoric student which helps me to academically succeed in
GSCE’s and A-Levels

Since primary school and secondary I have worked hard to accomplish my best both inside and
outside of the classroom. I will have completed 10 GCSEs by the end of Year 11. Currently, I
am aiming towards receiving a grade of 7-9 across all subjects, demonstrating my dedication
and hard work toward my future goals. I was indeed recognized for my passion towards my
studies, and as a result, I was chosen from a wide range of students to participate in a business
social enterprise competition. In this competition I went to the Lambeth Hall where me and a
group of students were chosen to represent our school as we had to come up with a business
idea and pitch to a group of entrepreneurs. It was a Dragon Den style competition, and it helped
me in my collaboration and cooperation skills providing me the skills to incorporate in sixth form.
Another one of my achievements in school is in Year 10 I went to one-week placement in an
architectural firm at McAleer and Rushe where I leant valuable skills and lessons on engineering
and automated design using software’s like AUTOCAD. My work experience in an Architectural
firm creating new homes and illustrious design allowed me to open my mind to work and
reinforced why I want to go into engineering.

Science and Mathematics piques my attention as it enables me to innovate and challenge

various viewpoints and theories. My competence in the science fields of Chemistry, Biology, and
Physics has been recognised by my teachers and peers and I am renowned for my studious
personality. I have a passion for Mathematics, and I received Silver in the UK Junior
mathematics challenge. Through Mathematics, I have developed transferable skills which have
enabled me to become ingenious and generate good ideas.

Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics are the A-Levels I would like to study in Sixth Form, since
they will provide the groundwork for my profession and road to aeronautical engineering, and I
will strongly be considering taking business because my ability as hard-working opportunity will
enable me to have a wide range of opportunities at A-Levels. Currently, my favorite subjects at
school are Mathematics and Physics so I would like to further my studies with these subjects to
pursue a career like Aeronautical engineering.
I feel that achieving the goals of my career path or being a more developed character and role
model to classmates at school and siblings at home requires more than academic talents. I
have been an active member of the badminton team and I help my current school with opening
evenings and tours as I am resilient and will always help my school. In addition, I was part of the
Student Voice, which was when students were given the chance to interview teachers applying
for my school, highlighting how I was seen as a hard-working and polite student by my teachers.
Furthermore, I have been part of the school council, which allowed me to advocate for change
in the school and use my listening and speaking skills to improve my school. I am a student who
rarely gets detentions as I think it is key to focus on the classroom to strive for excellence.

I've discovered that learning a language not only strengthens your English grammatical
language but also your social competence, thus it's beneficial to take extra tuition to grow and
thrive. I have received private tuition in the disciplines of English, Math, and Science, which will
help me to broaden my knowledge as I want to pursue a challenging career in Aeronautical
engineering.

I am enthusiastic about mathematics and web design as every Friday I attend a coding class
which also helps me with my GSCE in Computer Science and as I have a keen interest in
programming and learning new skills. I use programming as a hobby to boost my curiosity as I
think a more educated mind will always have more questions than answers. I am always keen to
learn new hobbies and concepts like in mathematics.

I have researched Chestnut Grove, and I am in alignment with your ethics and values. I am
competent and I have the qualities, expertise, and perspectives to qualify me as an excellent
candidate for A level study at this school. In addition, I think Chestnut Grove has the facilities
and the teachers to help me pursue my dream of aeronautical engineering. I believe that
attending your sixth form will provide me with the opportunity to develop and extend my
education not only to help me on my path to a Russell Group university, but also help to develop
me as a person, so that I can continue to strive for excellence.
