1 SCOPE

This specification is a part of the agreement between Tecnimont Chile, or its subsidiaries
(hereinafter mentioned CONTRACTOR), and the SUBCONTRACTOR with the aim to define the
construction procedures and requirements that the SUBCONTRACTOR shall implement to
complete the whole project according to the design provided by CONTRACTOR.

2 WORK REQUISITIONS

2.1 WORKS DESCRIPTION


Below is a summary of the main works to be performed for PV plant; the list is not exhaustive.
The SUBCONTRACTOR shall perform the following activities:

1. Preliminary work
2. Excavation
• Excavations for concrete foundations
3. Filling/Embankments/Backfilling
• Structural backfilling
• Backfilling for concrete foundation
4. Reinforced concrete works for foundations, elevated structures and sumps/basins
etc.
• Concrete foundations;

2.2 PRELIMINARY WORK


SUBCONTRACTOR shall perform the following activities in accordance with the TECHNICAL
DOCUMENTATIONS:
a) Mobilization and demobilization (assembly and disassembly) of all equipment,
including maintenance, spare parts, energy (electric and fuel).
b) Temporary site facility for SUBCONTRACTOR staff, including the installation of
offices and ancillary services (supply of drinking water, energy, internet connection
...).

2.3 EXCAVATION
2.3.1 Excavations for concrete foundations

SUBCONTRACTOR shall perform the following activities in accordance with the TECHNICAL
DOCUMENTATIONS:
a) Excavation by mechanical means (or by hand if authorized in writing by
CONTRACTOR) till the required depth for the construction of foundations and
trenches for the installation of sewers and piping;
b) Characterization in accordance with the law requirements, loading and
transportation of the material coming from excavations to an authorized disposal
area, stockpiling of material coming from excavations in a designated area inside
CONTRACTOR’s boundary. Suitable and unsuitable material for backfills shall be
stockpiled separately;
c) Before and during excavations, execution of adequate slopes or temporary
provisions to guarantee the excavation stability also in case of rain and bad
weather conditions. Repair of excavations (if any), due to inadequate temporary
provisions, shall be at SUBCONTRACTOR’s care and cost;
d) Leveling and compaction of bottom of excavation with roller or any other suitable
equipment in accordance with project specification (for the foundation bottom

excavation as minimum 95% of maximum density of modified Proctor).


e) In case of excavations on existing roads or paved areas, demolition of bituminous
coat or paving and restoration to the original condition. Transport of waste
materials to an authorized dumpsite.

f) Transport of waste materials to an authorized dumpsite.

2.4 BACKFILLING
2.4.1 Structural backfilling
Structural backfilling shall be carried out in the following cases:
• Under specific foundations

Where indicated in project documentation, SUBCONTRACTOR shall perform the following


activities:
a) Backfilling with suitable material coming from excavations temporarily stockpiled
inside CONTRACTOR’s boundary. In general, backfill material shall be placed in
layers not thicker than 250/300 mm and shall be compacted till reaching a density
of at least 95% of maximum density of modified Proctor (AASHTO T180 or ASTM
D1557), unless otherwise specified in the TECHNICAL DOCUMENTATION.
b) Treatment of the excavated material to be suitable for backfilling, according to
technical specificatios;
c) The matrial to be used a final road layer on top the suitable sub-grade shall be
classified as A1 or A3 (ASTM D3282) and compacted at lest 95% of its Proctor
modified density (AASHTO T180 or ASTM D1557).
d) Whenever the material coming from excavations is deemed as not suitable and
after getting the written CONTRACTOR’s authorization, SUBCONTRACTOR is
allowed to backfill with suitable material coming from borrow pits, to be compacted
till reaching a density of at least 95% of maximum density of modified Proctor
(AASHTO T180 or ASTM D1557), unless otherwise specified in the TECHNICAL
DOCUMENTATION
e) Backfilling shall not be started without CONTRACTOR’s authorization
f) Backfilling shall not be done in presence of water inside the backfilling area.
SUBCONTRACTOR shall maintain the area free of water during backfilling activities.
g) Transport of waste materials to an authorized dumpsite.

2.4.2 Backfilling for concrete foundations


Where indicated in project documentation, SUBCONTRACTOR shall perform the following
activities:
a) Backfilling with suitable material coming from excavations temporarily stockpiled
inside CONTRACTOR’s boundary. In general, backfill material shall be placed in
layers not thicker than 250/300 mm and shall be compacted till reaching a density
of at least 95% of maximum density of modified Proctor (AASHTO T180 or ASTM

2.5 REINFORCED CONCRETE WORKS FOR FOUNDATIONS, ELEVATED STRUCTURES


AND SUMPS/BASINS
2.5.1 Concrete foundations
(Refer to N046-YA-SC-A00001-01_Civil Works Specifications, paragraph 5)
SUBCONTRACTOR shall perform the following activities in accordance with the TECHNICAL
DOCUMENTATIONS:
a) Excavation, according to paragraph 2.3.1;
b) Backfilling, according to paragraph 2.4.2;
c) Site test, according to local regulation and CONTRACTOR’s technical specifications.
d) Supply and pouring of lean concrete;
e) Supply and installation of formwork;
f) Supply and installation of reinforcement;
g) Supply and installation of anchor bolts [if required];
h) Supply and installation cable conduits;
i) Installation of plates, metallic inserts, sleeves, special inserts supplied by Others,
etc. to be embedded into the concrete;
j) Provision of electrical continuity between structural members through steel
reinforcement, including installation of plates for connection to the main Earthing
System;
k) Supply and pouring of concrete with any additives and relative curing;
l) Supply and installation of the waterproofing of the foundation, according to the
project specifications;
m) Supply and installation of concrete blocks, according to the project
n) Execution of joint and sealing
o) After erection of cables, sealing all the holes on the structural concrete;
p) Topographic control of works [if required];
q) Quality control of materials according to technical specifications or to local
regulations
r) Transport of waste materials to an authorized dumpsite.

3 MECHANICAL COMPLETION AND TECHNICAL ACCEPTANCE

3.1 Mechanical completion


The Mechanical Completion will be considered achieved when SUBCONTRACTOR has completed
the following activities:

a. All works covered by this Requisition;


b. All activities within SUBCONTRACTOR’s scope;

3.2 Technical acceptance


c. Handover to CONTRACTOR of all documentation certifying full compliance of the
works with applicable Laws and Regulations
d. Handover to CONTRACTOR of documentation and certifications required by Project
Quality Control Plan duly organized as per Turnover Systems;
e. Handover to CONTRACTOR of all AS BUILT documentation;
f. Working areas housekeeping;

4 CODES & STANDARDS

4.1 List of codes and standards

Refer to N046-YA-SC-A00001-01_Civil Works Specifications, paragraph 1.2.

4.2 Local Law compliance

The SUBCONTRACTOR has to be well aware of permit procedures, qualifications, check, tests and
certifications necessary to meet Local Authorities requirements for the works and for the
materials of its own supply. Any activity and the assistance to the Official Inspectors charged of
the inspections is included in the scope of work.

5 PROJECT DOCUMENTS

A) The list of project documents (drawings, technical specifications, standards, guidelines,


etc.) applicable to this Work Requisition is attached in the APPENDIX 1.

B) In the case of conflict among Local statutory requirements, specifications, drawings and
standards, the priority of application shall be as follows:
- Local Law and regulations;
- Project Specifications
- Project Drawings
- Client Specifications and Standards
- CONTRACTOR Specifications and Standards

C) The projects drawings & documents valid for the works execution shall be the ones
stamped “Issued for Construction” and stamped, when required, by the Local Authority or
Professional Engineer

D) Project specifications and standards are to be referred for the supply, execution, control
and testing of works & material, always in conjunction with the above mentioned
drawings & documents.

6 MATERIALS SCOPE OF SUPPLY

6.1 By CONTRACTOR

The CONTRACTOR will supply the following materials to be installed by SUBCONTRACTOR:


- Conduits for cables embedded in foundation.

The SUBCONTRACTOR shall unload, store and handle the material provided by the
CONTRACTOR, in accordance with the technical specifications.
The SUBCONTRACTOR shall store the material in laydown areas and shall be responsible of the
care and surveillance of all amterials.
The SUBCONTRACTOR shall handle the material with extreme caution, avoiding any damage and
deformations.
The SUBCONTRACTOR will be economically responsible for any theft and damage suffered by the
material provided on site by the CONTRACTOR.

6.2 By SUBCONTRACTOR

The SUBCONTRACTOR shall supply all materials and equipment including working surplus or
scrap, contingencies, temporary materials and consumables, necessary for the proper execution
of the WORKS, with the exception of materials and equipment provided by CONTRACTOR and
listed in chapter 6.1.
In addition, the SUBCONTRACTOR will supply the following materials:
- Filling material from excavation/shredding and screening plant/quarry, according to
design.
- Formworks, concrete, steel reinforcement bars and everything necessary for a correct
execution of the concrete casting.
- Predisposition for grounding connection of the structures to the PV Plant earthing grid.

Materials supplied by SUBCONTRACTOR shall meet the requirements, specifications and


standards indicated in the documents and as per applicable Local Laws and Regulations.
Technical data, quality certificates and material safety data sheet shall be issued to
CONTRACTOR for approval.

7 ENGINEERING SERVICES SCOPE OF SUPPLY

7.1 By CONTRACTOR

CONTRACTOR will supply the engineering drawings issued for Construction, in a scalar way.
During the progress of the WORKS the SUBCONTRACTOR shall make sure that all documents
used for the construction are consistent with the latest revision of the TECHNICAL
DOCUMENTATION issued by CONTRACTOR. The costs for any modification and/or remaking due
to the non-fulfilment of this obligation shall be borne by the SUBCONTRACTOR.

7.2 By SUBCONTRACTOR

The SUBCONTRACTOR shall issue:


• All the results of the tests required in this WR;
• The quality documents of materials provided.

8 OPTIONAL WORKS

Not applicable.

9 EXCLUSIONS

The following activities are not included in the Scope of Work of SUBCONTRACTOR:
• Building permits and authorization for material storage areas within the site.
• Topographical survey.
• Geological and geotechnical survey and engineering tests.
• Detailed design of the entire PV system including the calculation reports of civil works and
the electrical parts of the photovoltaic system.
• Procurement, supply and transportation to site of Materials provided by the CONTRACTOR.
• Cut and removal of plants and heavy vegetation.
