EXPLANATION FOR THE PATTERN:

----------------------------------------------------------

GARTER STITCH (back and forth):

Knit all rows.
1 ridge vertically = knit 2 rows.

INCREASE TIP:
BEFORE MARKER:
The new stitch is twisted towards the right.
Use left needle to pick up yarn between 2 stitches from round below, pick up yarn from
the back and knit stitch in front loop of stitch.
AFTER MARKER:
The new stitch is twisted towards the left.
Use left needle to pick up yarn between 2 stitches from round below, pick up yarn from
the front and knit stitch in back loop of stitch.

CAST-OFF TIP:
To avoid a tight cast-off edge when casting off, you may cast off with an extra strand of
DROPS Brushed Alpaca Silk. If this still is too tight make 1 yarn over after approx. every
6th stitch while casting off (cast off yarn overs as stitches).

START THE PIECE HERE:

----------------------------------------------------------

NECK WARMER – SHORT SUMMARY OF PIECE:

Work neck warmer in the round on circular needle, top down. Increase stitches for saddle
shoulder in each side. Then cast off the shoulder stitches. Then finish back piece and front
piece back and forth on circular needle separately until finished measurements.

NECK WARMER:
Cast on 60-64-68 stitches on circular needle size 8 mm with 1 strand DROPS Alpaca
Bouclé + 2 strands DROPS Brushed Alpaca Silk (= 3 strands). Remove 1 strand DROPS
Brushed Alpaca Silk and continue with 1 strand of each quality (= 2 strands).
NOTE! Cast on like this to avoid a tight cast-on edge.
Work in stocking stitch in the round until piece measures 20-22-24 cm. REMEMBER THE
KNITTING TENSION!

Now insert 1 marker in the middle of round (= mid front). Now measure piece from this
marker.
Insert in addition 4 markers in the piece as explained below. Use these 4 markers when
increasing for saddle should. They should be a different colour than the marker mid front.

same.
Continue in the round like this and increase the same way on every round 10-11-12 times
in total = 100-108-116 stitches.
After last increase piece measures approx. 7-7-8 cm from marker mid front.
On next round cast off the shoulder stitches, i.e. work next round as follows: Work 18-19-
