Imraan 3:159)
Judge upon the book of Allah, if you
did not find in it what you need,
upon the Sunnah of Prophet
(PBUH), and if you did not find in it,
also, then use your own opinion.

obey the Messenger and those
charged with authority among you. If
you differ in anything among
yourselves refer it to Allah and His

and the Last Day. (Surah Nisa
4:59)

History and importance of

Hadith

Allah. (Surah Nisa 4:80)

which if you adhere you to, you will
never be misguided after this- The
Book of Allah and what you get from

who heard a thing from me and then
broadcast it just as he heard it.
(Mishkat)
While giving farewell pilgrimage
sermon, Prophet (PBUH) said: “He
who is present here shall carry this
message to the one who is absent.”
(Bukhari)

Relation between Quran and

Sunnah

Allah advises you concerning your

children’s (inheritance), the male
should get portion equal to that of
two females. If there are only
daughters, two or more should get
two third of the inheritance and if
only one, her share is half. (Surah
Nisa 4:11)

A Muslim may not inherit from a

non-Muslim, nor a non-Muslim
inherit from a Muslim. (Agreed)
And be steadfast in prayer, practice
charity. (Al-Baqarah 2:43)
Pray as you see me praying.
(Agreed)

Life of Prophet (PBUH)

Proclaim in the name of your Lord

Who Created; Created man out of a
clot of congealed blood; and
Proclaim your Lord is the most
Bountiful; He Who taught by the
pen; taught man which he knew not.
(Surah Alaq 96:1-5)
O you who wrapped up in the
mantle arise and warn! Glorify your
Lord. Purify yourself. Give up
uncleanness. Give not in order to
have more in return. For the sake of
your Lord endure patiently. (Surah
Mudassir 74:1-7)
And warn your relatives. (Surah
Shura 26:214)
Remember how the unbelievers
plotted against you, to keep you in

your homes). They plot and plan,

planners is Allah. (Surah Anfal
8:30)
Permission is given, against those
whom war is made (to fight)
because they are wronged, verily

the day the two hosts met, - It was
Satan who cause them fail. (Surah

Allah’s blessing on you when hosts
came against you , and we loosed
against them a wind, and hosts you
did not see. Allah sees what you do.

Treaty of Hudaibiya “ Surely we
have granted you a clear victory”
(Surah Fath 48:1)
And say truth has come and
falsehood has banished. Surely
falsehood is bound to perish. (Sura

First Islamic Community

According to Bukhari and Muslim,

The noblest women of the world are
Mariam and Khadija.
Anas said that when Allah’s
messenger was asked which
member of his family was dearest to
him he replied, “Hassan and
Hussain.” (Tirmidhi)

on the surface of the earth, let him
see Talha bin Ubaidullah. (Tirmizi)

in paradise. (Tirmizi)
Amr is among the best people of
Quraish. (Tirmizi)

Rightly Guided Caliphs

For every Apostle of Allah there was

a constant companion and my
companion in the paradise will be
Usman. (Tirmizi)
It is reported that before this
(brotherhood) was announced,
Hazrat Ali came to Prophet (PBUH)
and said to him, “You have arranged
brotherhood among your
companions, but you have not
arranged brotherhood between me
and anyone else.” Prophet (PBUH)
said to him, “You are my brother in
this world and the hereafter.”
(Tirmizi)
If I were to take anyone as my best
friend, I would take Abu Bakr, but he
is my brother and successor.
(Bukhari)

Articles of faith

I believe in Allah, in His angles, in

His books, in His messengers, in
the Last Day and the fact that
everything good or bad is decided
by Allah, the Almighty, and in life
after death. (Iman-e-Mufasal)
Allah, there is no god but He the
living, self-subtaining, eternal ….
(Surah Baqarah 2:225)
But verily over you (are appointed
angels) to protect you kind and
honourable writing down (your
deeds) (Surah infitar 82:11)
We sent not an Apostle but to be
obeyed in the accordance with the
will of Allah. (Surah Nisa 4:64)
But righteous is he who believes in
Allah and the Last Day and the
angels and the Scriptures. (Surah
Baqarah 2:117)
Every soul must taste of death.
(Surah Anbiyah 21:35)
When the deafening blast is
sounded that day man shall flee
from his brother, his mother, his
father. (Surah ‘Abas 80:33-35)
Man can have nothing but what he
strives for. (Surah Najm 53:39)

Pillars of Islam

I bear witness that there is no god

but Allah, He is alone, He does not
have partner and I bear witness that
Muhammad is His servant and His
messenger. (Shahadah)
Prayer on fixed hours has been
enjoined upon the believers. (Surah

Establish prayers, for it restrains
from shameful and unjust deeds.

the wrath of Allah. (Tirmidhi)

owe to Allah, those who can afford
the journey. (Surah Al Imran 3:97)
