1) Briefly restate your situation from Module 1 and your role.


Role
As a plumbing assistant within the organization ( Samana Home Builders ), my role was
instrumental in ensuring that the plumbing aspects of each home construction project
were executed with precision and expertise. From assisting senior plumbers in
installations to troubleshooting issues and ensuring that everything is done correctly, my
responsibilities were varied and crucial to the success of our endeavors.
Situation
Throughout the project, effective communication and teamwork were paramount.
Collaborating closely with other departments and external stakeholders, we navigated the
obstacles with resilience and determination. Despite the setbacks, our collective efforts
ensured that the construction project was completed on schedule, meeting the high
standards expected by our clients. This experience underscored the importance of
adaptability, collaboration, and resilience in the face of unforeseen challenges in the
construction industry, reaffirming Samana Home Builders' commitment to excellence in
every aspect of our work.

2) Describe how the human resources of the organization influenced the situation.
The human resources of Samana Home Builders significantly influenced the situation
described. The organization's emphasis on hiring skilled and dedicated individuals,
including plumbers, construction workers, and project managers, played a vital role in
ensuring project success. I got lucky enough to be part of this team, since I don’t have a
plumbing license. My work ethic and desire to be part of the team was the main factor for
this recruiting process, I also know the recruiter.
The expertise and experience of these team members enabled effective problem-solving
and decision-making, even in the face of unexpected challenges such as inclement
weather. Additionally, the organization's commitment to fostering a collaborative and
supportive work environment contributed to effective communication and teamwork,
allowing employees to work together seamlessly to overcome obstacles and deliver high-
quality results.
3) Recommend how you would use the human resources for an alternative course
of action regarding your case.
One recommendation is to invest in continuous training and professional development
programs for young employees, equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed to
navigate complex construction projects effectively. Additionally, fostering a culture of
innovation and creativity within the organization can encourage employees to think
outside the box and propose innovative solutions to challenges. Moreover, implementing
mechanisms for regular feedback and performance evaluation can help identify areas for
improvement and enable targeted interventions to enhance individual and team
effectiveness.
4) Reflect on what you would do or not do differently given what you have learned
about this frame.
Reflecting on this frame, I would prioritize initiatives aimed at strengthening employee
engagement and empowerment. Recognizing the importance of each team member's
contribution. Additionally, I would emphasize the importance of open and transparent
communication, ensuring that employees feel heard and valued within the organization.
By fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment where employees are
empowered to contribute their ideas and expertise, I believe we can further enhance our
ability to overcome challenges and deliver exceptional results for our clients.
