Greetings of Peace and Joy!

I am writing this letter with an interest in applying for the position of Project
Development Officer I with a salary grade of 11 under PSD – Supplementary Feeding
Program. I learned about the opportunity through a notice of vacancy posted by the
Human Resource Management and Development Division of your agency on
Facebook on January 15, 2024, and I believe that I have all the necessary credentials
for this role.

I completed my bachelor’s degree in social work at Mindanao State University Main

Campus in Marawi City, where I graduated with a Cum Laude and received other
special awards. I have finished my 1000 case hours requirement at Surigao City
Operations, particularly assigned to the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4P’s)
under the direct supervision of DSWD Field Office CARAGA. During my field work,
I have handled three (3) cases of children in conflict with the law who are currently
residing in Bahay Pag-asa, Surigao City. My experiences strengthened my passion
and prepared me for the path I aspire to take.

The first time I learned about your agency was way back in 2013. I admired how your
organization was able to create a quick response team in preparation for the upcoming
Typhoon Yolanda. I also came across in the news about the effort of DSWD’s Team
Balikan Rescue in Emergency (TEAMBRE) in teaching communities to be prepared
and resilient. At a young age, I witnessed how you instill hope in people in hopeless
times. And since then, I have aspired to be part of your organization, which is always
ready to serve the last, the least, and the lost.

I do believe that the experience and knowledge I have acquired during those years are
valuable to share with your organization. If given the opportunity to work with you, I
will do my best to exceed your expectations.
