COUNTER
I, RUFINA G. GANDALERA, the Person-Compained-Of, unto this
Honorable Office most respectfully states:

1. That on February 12, 2024, I received a Summons from the Legal

Unit of Department of Education, Schools Division of Ilocos Sur
indicting me of the above-mentioned violation;

2. That I am required to file my sworn counter-affidavit within three

(3) days, or until February 15, 2024, in response to the allegations
stated in the Sworn Complaint-Affidavit of the complainant;

3. That I am constrained to request for an extension of time to file my

counter-affidavit considering that I am still looking for a counsel
who will assist me in preparing my counter-affidavit;

4. In view of which, I am humbly requesting that I be given an

additional time of five (5) days from February 15, 2024 or until
February 20, 2024 to seek the assistance of a counsel to prepare,
and file the said counter-affidavit;

5. That this motion is being filed solely for the foregoing reason and
not for purposes of delay.

WHEREFORE, it is respectfully prayed that the Person-

Complained-Of be given an extension of time of five (5) days from
February 15, 2024 or until February 20, 2023 within which to
prepare and file the Counter-affidavit.

Other reliefs that are just and equitable under the premises
are likewise prayed for.
