 Hello everybody!
Now it's time for you to do the task for this week. Read the instructions below. Remember that if
you need to review a topic, you can always check the course material as many times as you need.
Keep in mind that you have to present this task during week 4.

1. Outcome

Through this activity, students write a text about jobs and occupations using the grammar and
vocabulary learned in Weeks 1 to 4.

2. Description

 Step 1: Collaborative work (get into pairs).

 Step 2: Check this week’s study material and your sessions’ notes.
 Situation: Imagine you and you partner study English in an international students program in
New York. Today is your first day of class. All your classmates have different jobs and
nationalities. Write a paragraph about 3 students in your class including their personal
information, nationalities and jobs or occupations.
 Content:
 Vocabulary and expressions from Unit 1 (Weeks 1-4)
 Countries and nationalities.
 Personal Information: First and last name, jobs and occupations, and age.
 1st person plural form and 3rd person singular and plural form.

 Step 3: Write the text together with your classmate.

 Step 4: Review the content, grammar, and the spelling of your text together. Present it on a
single Word sheet.
 Step 5: Once you check your text, attach a cover to your writing and upload it to the the virtual
platform. Write your names and last names on the cover. Include your photo.
