Dear Sir/Madam,

The Convergence of Initiatives for Environmental Justice Inc. (CIEJ) will be hosting a gathering of
representatives from grassroots organizations, communities, the private sector, and the youth
for the Earth Day Celebration on the 26th of May 2024 at Villa Princessita, Arellano Street,
Koronadal City, from 1:00 to 4:00 in the afternoon.

During the event, we will launch the South Cotabato State of the Environment Address
(SOCSEA). This first SOCSEA will be the start of an annual tradition and celebration of Earth Day
by the people of South Cotabato, aiming for the following objectives:

1. State actors, the civil society organizations, peoples organizations, academe, farmers,
private sector and youth will meet to discuss the present state of the environment and
issues in the province of South Cotabato.

2. Presentation of sectoral reports as well as the proposals and recommendations.

3. Government response, recommended actions for possible collaboration and policy

recommendations.

4. Consolidation and submission of reports to the concerned government agencies and

private institutions for proper action.

In line with this, we would like to invite you to participate in the very first South Cotabato State
of the Environment Address. Your experience, wisdom and expertise will be of big help for the
future of the South Cotabato environment.
