1 Cleaning

Some parts of the Cone Crusher, such as the fitting faces of frames, the fitting faces of bearings, and
machined surfaces of the respective parts, are coated with black varnish or other rust preventives. Wash
these parts completely with solvent, and apply a thin coating of oil. If the rust preventives are difficult to
remove, use warm solvent, and wipe off by hand. DO NOT use sharp-edged tools to remove the coating as
this may damage the Cone Crusher part. If the parts are to be temporarily stored, put them in a dry area
and cover to prevent accumulation of dust.
Clean the inside of the oil tank thoroughly. Inspect the delivery and return oil pipes for foreign matter
before fitting into position. Remove any foreign matter found.

5 ERECTION

5.1 Main Frame

Clean the surface of the foundation where the base plates are laid. Place the Cone Crusher Main
Frame (1011) in position, and tighten the nuts on four foundation bolts. Check the level of the Cone Crusher
Main Frame by placing a precise level measuring device on the surface of the Cone Crusher Upper Frame.
Grout the clearance between the concrete surface and the Cone Crusher Main Frame (1011) taking care to
grout deeply and evenly to fill out the clearance. Apply oil to the Cone Crusher Frame Bushing (1041) and
cover it with a clean vinyl sheet or cloth to prevent the accumulation of dust. The Eccentric (3011), Main
Shaft (4011), and all other sliding-contact parts should be similarly treated.

5.2 Removing Thrust Plate Assembly

After removing the Eccentric, thread the long lifting eye into the Bottom Thrust Plate (3071). The
lifting eye will pass through the Upper Thrust Plate (3041) as shown in Figure No. 5. Remove thrust plates
from the Main Frame (1011).
