** There are 18 sentences in total. There are 6 sentences for each conjunction (and/or/but). Each sentence is
only plausible with one of the conjunction choices. For example, ‘Ben stopped and looked up at the night sky.’

*** There are 18 sentences in total. There are several challenging sentences included where multiple
conjunction choices may be plausible (and/or/but). For example, ‘Please play quietly and/or/but go outside.’
This is to allow children the opportunity to discuss their reasons and how their choice changes the context of
the sentence.
