Objective of the Activity Done: MONGODB

Detailed Report: Coming to the sixth week in all three sessions I have covered learning
Authentication & authorization in web applications & MONGODB with CRUD operations.

In session 13, In depth I have got clear explanation about exploration of authentication &

Authorization mechanisms in web applications. In this authentication & authorization I have

Covered few techniques called, 1. Session-based authentication

2. token-based authentication

3. role-based access control (RBAC)

In session 14, there was an introduction about MONGODB & CRUD operations in

which an individual will gain an MONGODB concept & learn about the CRUD operations

(CREATE, READ, UPDATE, DELETE) operations that are very essential for database.

Regarding this session I have completed a test that covered CRUD operations for database

Management & MONGODB which is a backend that works on logic & functionality.

In session 15, Operations in MongoDB are explained clearly that are helpful in

Managing the database operations such as: 1. CREATE

2. READ

3. UPDATE

4. DELETE

The Create operation is used to insert new documents in the MongoDB database. The Read

Operation is used to query a document in the database. The Update operation is used to

Modify existing documents in the database. The Delete operations is used to remove

Documents in the database.

WEEKLY REPORT
WEEK – 7 (From 2 8 / 0 2 / 2 4 to 05/03/24 )

Objective of the Activity Done: DATA MODELLING IN MONGODB

Detailed Report: In session 16, the discussion was about mongoose for MongoDB and
Node.js integration. Here in this session we have learnt about integrating MongoDB with

Node.js using mongoose. And also a popular ODM (OBJECT DATA MODELLING)

Library which helps in enabling efficient & structured interactions between the MongoDB

Database and Node.js applications.

We have also taken an assessment regarding the topic discussed in previous session.

In session 17, I have learnt about Data modelling in MongoDB that involves in

Designing schemas that represent the structure and relationships of data within NoSQL

Database. This data modelling in mongodb gave an experience in designing schema for

Databases. This also gave me an ability to take an assessment next day. Data modeling refers

To the organization of data within a database and the links between related entities. Data in

MongoDB has a flexible schema model, which means: Documents within a single collection

are not required to have the same set of fields. A field’s data type can differ between

Documents with in a collection.

In session 18, Data modelling in mongodb in detailed with getting proficiency in the

Concept and that lead me taking up an MERN stack assignment and helped in gaining

the concept in depth. They provide a standardized method for defining and formatting

Database contents consistently across systems, enabling different applications to share the

Same data. The network data modeling allows for the representation of complex relationships

WEEKLY REPORT
WEEK – 8 (From 0 6 / 0 3 / 2 4 t o 1 2 / 0 3 / 2 4 )

Objective of the Activity Done: REACT

Detailed Report: Coming the next session this three sessions covered the below concepts:
1. Integrating react with Node & Express

2. Connecting frontend & backend

3. Handling data flow between components

In session 19, I have learnt how to integrate react with Node.js & Express.js that

Involves setting up a server side rendering environment to serve components alongside

Express routes.

In session 20, Connecting the frontend & backend had been covered which dealt with

Establishing communication channels, typically via APIs, that helps to exchange data

And requests between the user interface (frontend) & server(backend). In this I had come

To know that requests will be sent towards frontend by user & there will be a response from

The server in the backend process.

After taking a test/assessment based on topic gave me a clear understanding of react.

In session 2, I have learnt how to handle data flow between the components.

Handling data flow between components involves passing data and managing state changes

Efficiently within the react application to maintain consistency and responsivesness amongst

The components.

Data flow between components, is an important concept in React applications. This data

Allows components to share and communicate data with each other. To send data from a

Parent components to a child component, we use props. The parent component will call the

Child component and send the variable to the child component.

WEEKLY REPORT
WEEK – 9 (From 13/03/24 to 19/03/24 )

Objective of the Activity Done: FULL STACK APPLICATION, MERN STACK

Detailed Report: In session 22, I have learnt how to implement the authentication in a
Full stack application where an individual learns the implementation mechanisms such as

JWT (JSON Web Tokens) or OAuth to secure a full stack application that ensures only

Authorized users access protected resources. I have taken an MERN STACK assessment for

Better understanding & proficiency in the above concepts.

In session 23, there was a recap of previous session that is about implementing the

Authentication in a full stack application to have foundational understanding & proficiency

Regarding that. To create user authentication in full stack applications, you need to

Implement both the front-end and the back -end components. The front-end component

Collects and validates the user input, such as the username and password, then sends it too the

Back-end component.

In session 24, the session is about the group based project assignment, working on real

World MERN stack project. In this, group project assignment entails collaboratively

Developing a real-world MERN (MONGODB, EXPRESS.JS, NODE.JS, REACT.JS)

Stack application, and also focusing on practical implementation and teamwork.

I have also taken an assessment regarding the group project assignment that develops the

MERN.

CHAPTER - 5

5.0 Describe the work environment you have experienced

My ideal work environment is one where I have the opportunity to support a team with
the services and abilities that meet the needs of the group with little supervision. I also enjoy a
collaborative environment that allows for flexibility in how we get our work done. I enjoy
working in an environment where the members of the team have a strong sense of camaraderie
and a good work ethic. I like working with competent, kind, funny people who like to get things
done.

It's important to me to feel that I can trust my team members to always do their best
because I do. Asa leader, you set the tone in your convenience store. You create an environment
that is either toxic and on the constant brink of failure, or one that is productive and setup for
success. A productive work environment boosts employee performance, increases staff
retention, and improves customer service. Base your work environment on these two elements.

Those 2 elements are:

1. RESPECT: Respect is the foundation of a productive work environment. Every employee

deserves to be treated with respect, and every employee has an obligation to treat others the
same way. The best way to foster respect in the workplace is to lead by example. Respect is
contagious. Unfortunately, though, so is disrespect. Make sure all your employees complete
harassment prevention training to help ensure everyone knows exactly what is expected of
them.

2. TEAMWORK: People want to be a part of something bigger than themselves. That’s why
the concept of teamwork is so popular in business. The most important component of teamwork
is that team members are all working toward the same goals. Work with your employees to
establish team goals and reward the team when those goals are achieved.

TRAINING: Your team is your most valuable asset. Just like any asset, you have to take. care
of it to make it last. Training is a way for you to invest in your team. From a robust 43 online
employee training program to mentoring programs and on-the-job training, the more
knowledge you share with your employees the more productive they’ll be. To determine where
your highest priority.

5.1 Describe the real time technical skills you have acquired

Technical skills are the abilities, knowledge, or expertise required to perform specific,
jobrelated tasks. Technical skills are related to jobs in science, engineering, tech,
Manufacturing. They are learned through on-the-job experience or structured learning.

Technical skills are the abilities and knowledge needed to perform specific tasks. They
are practical, and often relate to mechanical, information technology, mathematical, or
scientific tasks. Some examples include knowledge of programming languages, design
programs, mechanical equipment, or tools.

There are 3 kinds of technical skills:

1. Technical skills you obtained while attending college or completing a certificate program.

2. How you stay up to date on technical changes in the IT field.

3. Technical skills you used at a previous job (if applicable) Skills acquired in this training

Skill development: Internships provide a platform to develop and enhance various skills, as
communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and time management. These transferable skills
are beneficial for your future career, regardless of the industry you choose.

Opportunities: IIDT has many bigger opportunities as software Developer. Many tenders
have been finalised for services.

FRONTEND, BACKEND & DATABSE:

HTML (Hypertext markup language)

CSS (Cascading style sheets)

JS (JavaScript)

Node.JS

HTML - Knowledge of html is essential for structuring & organizing web page content. With
this html concept I have known about many sub topics as follows, html tags, lists, formatting,
media tags, tables in html, forms in html, layout tags, block elements, character entities,
boilerplate in html etc…

DEPARTMENT OF ECE, VEMU IT 68

FULL STACK DEVELOPMENT

CSS - Cascading style sheets control’s visual appearances & layout of web pages. In this CSS
concept I have learnt many skills such as adding CSS to html using different types of CSS as
follows:

1. Internal CSS

2. External CSS

3. Inline CSS

I have known and came through about the basic selectors (universal selector, id selector,
element selector, group selector, class selector), adding the background images, font & text
styling, CSS positioning, CSS flex box & grid etc…

JS – JavaScript is crucial for adding interactivity and dynamic behaviour to webpages. JS also
deals with adding the required logic. I have also had a bit clear explanation about the datatype
& variables in JS and also about the DOM (DOCUMENT OBJECT MODEL).

NODE.JS – Node.js is purely dependent on react that is required to create react applications.

REACT.JS – React.js is a UI library for web interfaces. It works as a framework, when required
we can create SPA (SINGLE PAGE APPLICATION).

EXPRESS.JS – Express.js in APIs helps to send the request by user & returns the response
from server. Every backend functionality will be performed with API end points or API ends.

MONGODB – MongoDB is a backend framework that works on logic & functionality. It works
well with JS(JAVASCRIPT)

RESPONSIVE DESIGN - Helps to ensure that the website display correctly & provide
optimal user experiences

5.2 Describe the Managerial skills you have acquired

Managerial skills encompass several key areas including leadership, direction,

coordinating, oversight, planning and organization. Within these key areas, managerial skills
combine hard and soft skills that professionals in management roles must have to succeed in
their careers. A strong manager possesses effective communication and listening skills. I apply
these when working with employees to provide a professional visionary management style to
employees.

Communicating your vision for a project is often as much as the employees need to
carry that vision out and provide impressive results.

Management and leadership skills are often used interchangeably as they both involve
planning, decision-making, problem-solving, communication, delegation, and time
management. Good managers are almost always good leaders as well.

I would define the difference between management and leadership skills as follows:

Management skills: The skills required to manage people and resources to deliver a product
or service.

Leadership skills: The skills required to engage with people and persuade them to 'buy-in' to
a vision or goal.

Team management is important for a number of reasons within the workplace: It

promotes a unified approach to leadership within a company or team, especially when Team
building is implemented. It makes it easier to solve problems through the implementation of
negotiating and critical thinking. It encourages open communication between managers and
emphasizes good communication skills and active listening. The more effective you're at
managing your team, the more successful your team will be within the workplace.

Examples: 1. Focus on serving rather than managing

2. Don’t always assume you’re right

5.3 Describe how you could improve your communication skills

Communication is the act of conveying meaning to another person using mutually

understood Signs and semiotic rules. To improve your communication skills at work, you
should take the following three steps. Make other people feel valued. Don’t talk about yourself.
Ask questions and listen to their replies. That will make other people feel special. Make your
communication relevant.

Do you want other people to listen to you? Add value to what you say. The main thing
is to give your audience a reason to listen to your message. So, explain the benefit, ask some
questions, or tell a story. Make other people feel human. Speak in casual, non-formal words if
you want to sound authentic. Use your natural voice.

Effective Communication Skills: The four important skills that are required for effective
communication are:

• Listening Skills

• Non-verbal communication

• Empathy

• Stress Management Body language matters

This is important for face-to-face meetings and video conferencing. Make sure that you
appear accessible, so have open body language. This means that you should not cross your
arms. And keep eye contact so that the other person knows that you are paying attention.

5.4 Describe how could you enhance your abilities in group discussions, participation in
teams, contribution as a team member, leading a team/activity

You’ve probably heard the saying, “It’s not what you know. It’s who you know.” In
similar way, employee satisfaction in a workplace tends to rely less on the actual job and more
on the company culture. This is why, as a leader, it pays to know how to improve teamwork
skills. Teamwork skills are important For more than just work. The essence of teamwork exists
when you’re in school. It also is a part of all your meaningful relationships in life. Importance
Of Teamwork brings people together to work towards a common goal.

The importance of teamwork and collaboration does not go unnoticed. When people
work together, they can feel more satisfied and part of something bigger. Working together
entails all of the following, plus more: Leaders: Leaders emerge in teams. They help to motivate
team members and keep everyone aligned on the path to success.

Communicate: When working together, you open up lines of communication. In this way, you
can share your ideas and express your concerns.

Benefit Of Different Skill Sets: People can definitely work alone. But when you bring people
from diverse backgrounds together, you get the added value of mixed skill sets. This can create
better outcomes.

Creative Skills: Through communication, team members can come up with new and creative
ideas. Problem-Solving Is Maximized. Since everyone approaches a problem with a different
perspective, working together makes problem- solving easier.

Group Discussion: In GD we enhance the ability of Observation, Awareness of Topics relating

to your Background is Crucial, Taken as a Lead, No place of Aggression in Group Discussion
and Communicate Effectively.

5.5 Describe the technological developments relevant to the subject area of training

I observed that advanced technologies used for Full Stack Development

Such as:

➢ Front-end web development

➢ Back-end web development
➢ Database development
➢ HTML
➢ CSS
➢ JavaScript
➢ MongoDB
➢ React. JS
➢ Node. JS
➢ Express. JS
➢ Django

Full Stack development is the process of designing, creating, testing, and deploying a
complete web application from start to finish.

It involves working with various technologies and tools, including end – end web
development in front and back.

For Front-end we need some technologies like HTML & CSS, JavaScript, etc.,

For Back-end we need some technologies it including the server, application, and database.
