iPhone Users Can Now Access WhatsApp Without Using Passwords: This Is How

With WhatsApp's latest release, users will be able to access their accounts without
needing to remember their passwords. Yes, passkeys for iPhone users are now
supported by the messaging app. Depending on the model of iPhone you are using,
you can enable passkeys using either Face ID or Touch ID.

The future of Google and Microsoft has already been demonstrated, and
WhatsApp's entry into the mix will expedite the process of apps and digital
accounts being protected by biometric security. The passkeys for WhatsApp were
returned to Android users in October of last year, and now iPhone users may take
advantage of the app's compatibility. When the option appears in the platform's
settings, the update for WhatsApp iOS will be made available soon.

WHATSAPP PROTECTION VIA PASSKEYS: WHAT IS IT AND HOW IT

WORKS?

Passkeys allow you to avoid using conventional login methods, which involve two-
factor authentication through SMS on your registered phone number and
passwords. To begin using WhatsApp with this feature, all you need to do is utilize
your iPhone's Face ID or Touch ID feature. Using passkeys also offers you the
benefit of preventing hackers from remotely accessing your WhatsApp data, as
they will want your biometric information, which they cannot obtain by coercion.

Thus, how can iPhone users make their WhatsApp account passkey enabled? To
get started, take these actions:
- Open WhatsApp and select Settings - Click Account - Select Passkeys - Create
Passkeys - Click Continue to begin the process - After verifying the device's screen
lock, you can create the passkey.

Although WhatsApp has not stated when the update will be released, we anticipate
that it will happen gradually over several weeks to reach all users. Meanwhile,
several helpful features are being added to the Android beta version, such as the
capacity to exchange files offline with other users and an in-app dialer on
WhatsApp that enables you to make calls to people who are not contacts on the
app.
