Alabama Parenting Questionnaire - Short Form (APQ-9)

Instructions: The following are a number of statements about your family. Please rate each item as
to how often it typically occurs in your home. Possible answers are: Never (1), Almost Never (2),
Sometimes (3), Often (4), Always (5). Please answer all items

Scoring:
Add the scores for each of the three subscales: Positive parenting (Items 1, 6 and 7), Inconsistent
discipline (Items 2, 4, and 9), and Poor supervision (items 3, 5, 8).
