ABSTRACT

In the midst of the 21st century's digital revolution, artificial intelligence (AI) has

established itself as a transformative force within the realm of education, fundamentally reshaping

the academic journeys of students.

This study aimed to investigate the influence of AI-assisted tools on Grade 12 Students'

academic performance. The study findings indicate that AI-assisted tools positively influence

Grade 12 students' academic performance at QBCNHS. With a mean of 3.45 and a standard

deviation of 0.05, suggesting a significant positive impact. Regarding academic performance,

results found that of the 266 learners, 217 achieved outstanding grades (81.57%), with an overall

exceptional mean score 90-100. Another 49 had very satisfactory grades (18.42%), with scores

between 85-89. The overall mean score was 90.77 with a standard deviation of 0.11, indicating

exceptional performance. The use of AI-assisted tools was perceived to have a moderate effect on

student academic performance (mean = 3.83), which was consistent across the group. The high

academic performance of students 75.56%, with most having averages in the 90-94 interval,

suggests that AI tools have not hindered academic success and may have contributed to positive

outcomes. The findings suggest that AI tools have not only been well-received by students but

have also contributed to outstanding academic performance. This underscores the potential of AI

to enhance learning experiences and foster positive outcomes in education, emphasizing the

importance of further exploration and integration of AI technologies in educational settings.
