Practice Questions/X/Polynomials
1. Find a quadratic polynomial whose zeroes are -2/√3 and (√3)/4.
2. For what value of ‘k’, will the polynomial 5z2 + 13z – k has roots reciprocal to each
other?
3. If α and β are zeroes of p(x) = x2 + px + q, then find a polynomial having 1/ α and 1/ β as
its zeroes: q≠0.
4. On dividing x3 – 3x2 + x + 2 by a polynomial g(x), the quotient and remainder were x–2
and –2x+4, respectively. Find g(x).
5. What must be subtracted from 4x4 - 2x3 - 6x2 + x - 5 so that it may be exactly divisible by
2x2 + x – 2?
6. If α and β are the zeroes of the quadratic polynomial g(x) = x2 - (a + 6)x +2 (2a -1), such
