Topic: Inspirational Figure

When talking about inspirational figure, one figure that immediately comes to my mind is Mr.
Bacharuddin Jusuf Habibie, who is familiarly called B.J. Habibie. He is a visionary engineer,
statesman, and humanitarian whose life journey is a testament to the power of determination,
innovation, and compassion.

He was born on June 25, 1936 and came from a simple family in Parepare, South Sulawesi. From a
young age, he showed great curiosity and a very strong commitment to education. This thirst for
knowledge eventually led him to the Technische Hochschule Aachen in Germany, where he pursued a
degree in aerospace engineering. Little did he know that this young Indonesian student would go on
to become one of the most influential figures in aviation and engineering.

As we all know, he was the third former president of Indonesia, replacing Mr. Suharto. Although his
tenure as president was short, his impact was huge. He guided Indonesia through turbulent times
and paved the way for a new era of democracy and openness. His dedication to unity and inclusivity
is an inspiration to nations around the world.

His journey continues to inspire individuals around the world especially young people like us,
encouraging us to always strive to pursue our dreams, make a difference, and most importantly, be
compassionate human beings.
