Read the task. Read the statements/features before the text +
underline key words. Skim the passage to get the main idea and
ideas in each paragraph. Underline features when they occur.
Mark ideas + note the number of question. Go through questions
> find underlined features. Read the section carefully to check. Be
careful with what goes to the answer sheet (the correct letter).

First read the sentences and underline key words, then scan the
paragraphs looking for the sentenecs with the same topic (key
words may be paraphrased). Underline the sentences in the
paragraphs that you think confirm your answers - it will help if
you are not sure and need to come back to decide which
paragraph fits better.

Ss needs to predict the information for the sentences as well and
use the words from the text to complete them. Pay attention to
the rules, 1 word only

First underline the key words in the questions and use these to
quickly find the part of the passage that you need to read in
more detail (probably not just 1 sentence with the key words).

Pay special attention to the topic sentence (usually the first
sentence of a paragraph) or a combination of the first and the
last sentence in a paragraph. It will help to find the most obious
headings. Then work with the rest based on synonyms. The
IELTS principle seems to be "If you cannot underline an answer,
it is not a correct answer for the question"
