I chose Mother Teresa, because she is an exemplary female idol because of

her selfless service, compassion, global impact, recognition, spiritual

influence, and lasting legacy. Studying her life and work not only sheds light
on the remarkable contributions of women to history but also serves as a
source of inspiration for anyone seeking to make a positive difference in the
world.
How Mother Teresa contributed to world history?

Mother Teresa founded the Missionaries of Charity in 1950, a Roman

Catholic religious congregation dedicated to providing care for the sick and
needy. The organization grew rapidly, establishing hospices, orphanages,
and centers for the poor in many countries around the world.

One of Mother Teresa's most notable contributions was her work with the
sick and dying in the slums of Calcutta (now Kolkata), India. She and her
fellow sisters provided comfort, medical care, and love to those who were
abandoned or otherwise neglected by society. This work brought global
attention to the plight of the poor and the need for compassionate care.

Mother Teresa's influence extended far beyond Calcutta. Her Missionaries of

Charity expanded their operations to more than 130 countries, providing aid
to people suffering from poverty, disease, and natural disasters. Her
example inspired countless individuals to volunteer their time and resources
to help those in need.

In 1979, Mother Teresa was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for her
humanitarian work. The Nobel Committee praised her efforts to alleviate
human suffering and her dedication to serving the poorest of the poor.

Mother Teresa became a symbol of compassion and selflessness worldwide.

Her simple lifestyle and unwavering commitment to helping others inspired
people of all faiths and backgrounds to strive for a more compassionate and
just society.

In 2016, Mother Teresa was canonized as a saint by the Catholic Church in

recognition of her exemplary life of virtue and service to humanity. This
formal recognition further solidified her place in history as a beloved figure
and a role model for future generations.
