II. Background of One of the most crucial components in the construction

necessary healthcare services to people. With the
assistance of medical professionals, patients can recover
from their illnesses at healthcare facilities. Some examples
of healthcare facilities include hospitals, clinics, outpatient
care centers, and specialized care facilities like psychiatric
and birth centers (MedlinePlus, 2021). According to
Saiyad (2023), they are the foundation of healthcare
systems worldwide. Hospitals are essential not only for
individual health but also for the public and healthcare
systems.

Half of the Filipino population cannot reach the


country's primary healthcare facilities in less than 30
minutes, the Department of Health (DOH) stated during a
Senate hearing on Thursday (Bordey, 2021). When seeking
medical care, residents of Bamban typically travel to
another municipality. It would take them anywhere from
thirty to an hour to get to a doctor's appointment. Despite
the existence of our private clinics, they would still suggest
patients go to larger healthcare facilities. Primarily due to a
lack of medical equipment necessary for examinations and
diagnoses.

The aim of this study is to investigate the experiences of


Bamban individuals seeking medical attention. It also
seeks to understand the opinions of Bamban residents
regarding the lack of medical facilities in Bamban.
Additionally, it also aims to raise awareness about getting
medical checkups. In summary, the experiences of Bamban
residents seeking medical care at a nearby healthcare
facility are highlighted in this study.

III. Specific This study aims to gain insight into the impact of

primary objective is to identify the essential facilities
required to address the community's expressed needs, thus
guiding municipal decisions towards the construction of
the most necessary facilities. Additionally, the study seeks

accessible to all community members at any time, with the
overarching goal of preventing serious illnesses and
maintaining or enhancing the health status of the
Bambanenses. The imperative for an enhanced healthcare
system motivates this research to strive towards providing
high-quality healthcare facilities to the community.

IV. Significance of The significance of this study lies in its exploration of

Bamban, Tarlac, where inadequate medical facilities
persist. Through a close examination of the current state of
healthcare, this research helps pinpoint deficiencies in
access and grasp the implications for vulnerable
demographics, including the elderly, parents, people with
disabilities, expectant mothers, and those managing
chronic illnesses. Recognizing the immense impact of
limited healthcare availability has on this community, this
study assumes a critical role in rectifying these pressing
gaps.

V. Methodology For this research, a qualitative approach will be


employed, utilizing criterion sampling to understand the
experiences of healthcare access among Bambanenses in
Anupul, Bamban, Tarlac. Participant selection will be
guided by specific criteria, including residency, age,
healthcare utilization, and health status. Through this
sampling method, researchers aim to identify participants
capable of offering perspectives on healthcare access in the
community, facilitating the identification of crucial
facilities based on shared experiences.

Insights will be gathered through semi-structured


interviews, delving into topics such as perceptions of
healthcare facilities and how these concerns impact
residents of Bamban. This methodology prioritizes a
people-centered approach, ensuring informed consent and
confidentiality throughout the research process.

Thematic analysis will be employed to interpret


findings and reveal patterns in participants' experiences.
The results will be summarized, and evidence-based
recommendations will be provided to enhance healthcare
access in Anupul, Bamban, Tarlac.

II.Background of the In the contemporary era, technological advancements have

attracting internet users, particularly students, with
immersive experiences. Mobile Legends: Bang Bang stands
out as one of the most renowned games in the Philippines
and across Southeast Asia, developed and published by
Moonton Technology in 2016. It features a 5v5 Multiplayer
Online Battle Arena (MOBA) format, along with
touchscreen-optimized controls, various playable heroes,
and multiple game modes. The gameplay revolves around
two teams competing to defend their respective bases.

Notably, in 2023, the Philippines secured the second


position globally regarding game downloads, with a
staggering 23 million downloads, constituting 6.1% of the
total app downloads on December 12, 2023 (Atonibai,
2023). This shows the game's immense popularity and
relevance within the country.

However, the pervasive nature of online gaming, as


highlighted by Medium (2021), has raised concerns
regarding its addictive potential, particularly among
students. Over 2 billion individuals reportedly addicted to
online games, many of whom are high school students.
Parents face the challenge of regulating their children's
gaming habits to prevent over-usage. Moreover, excessive
gaming can detrimentally impact students' mental health,
leading to behavioral changes and potentially affecting their
academic performance.

This study aims to investigate how students interact with the


online game Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. It seeks to
understand how invested students are in the game and its
effects on their behavior and learning outcomes. The study
also aims to investigate how common it is for high school
students to overuse this certain game. In essence, its goal is
to offer an understanding of the experiences of High School
Students at Sto. Niño Academy in playing Mobile Legends:
Bang Bang.

III.Specific Objectives This study aims to analyze the impact of Mobile


Legends: Bang Bang on the overall academic pursuit of
high school students at Sto. Niño Academy Inc., Bamban,
Tarlac. Its main goal is to determine whether this game has
a beneficial or detrimental impact on the performance of
students in school. Additionally, the study seeks to identify
possible outcomes and develop measures to mitigate or
prevent negative effects while enhancing the positive
aspects of gaming. This study is driven to support the
development of a balanced academic life for learners
through recognizing the importance of students to create a
life beyond educational pursuits while being diligent.

effects of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang on high school

Insights will be gleaned through structured interviews,


covering topics such as students' engagement with the game
and its influence on their high school lives. Emphasizing a
people-centered approach, this methodology ensures that all
participants provide informed consent and guarantees
confidentiality throughout the research process.

Thematic analysis will be utilized to categorize findings,


enabling researchers to understand the overall impact of the
game. Subsequently, recommendations will be formulated
for students, guardians, and educators based on this
analysis.
