Eid al-Fitr is an Islamic holiday that takes

place on the first day of the month of

Shawwal. During which Muslims break
their fast celebrating the completion of
fasting during the month of Ramadan. It is
one of the two Muslim holidays. The
other holiday is Eid Al Adha, which is
celebrated on the tenth of the month of
Dhu Al Hijjah. Muslims have been
celebrating Eid al-Fitr since the second
year of the Hijra after completing the first
Ramadan of that year.
