Title : 2D to 3D AND HMBD for Boeing KC-135


Client : BOEING DEFENCE SPACE AND SECURITY (Oklahoma, USA)

Description
The objective of this project was 2D to 3D HMBD conversion. The Aerospace installations like bulk-head, skin
panels, spars, stringers, flaps, ailerons, & frame panel installations etc need to be done by using Catia V5. Modules
need links with the published master surfaces of fuselage, wing, empennage etc. with the given input PCM
drawings, MDS & MDF.

Responsibilities
 Modelling the parts as per the given inputs like PCM & dimensioned drawings.
 Creating assemblies and product structure in CATIA V5.
 CARM creation to define the assembly with the part stack ups, joint definitions, FIDV, NOV, HIDV, part notes &
standard notes etc.
 Applying HMBD concept by using FTA
 Conducting meetings, discussions and presentations.

Description
The objective of this project is to develop the structural components of the aircraft in the location by using the input
data from the customer, considering the manufacturability of the parts by incorporating the Boeing standards &
methodologies by using Catia V5.

Responsibilities
 Understanding the client requirement.
 Installing the modules at aircraft locations
 Knowing all the upgrades & major changes done in the aircraft.
 Studying all the inputs given by the customer like PCM drawings and references to build the parts &
installations contextually.
 Developing 2D drawings
