1. General situation
This software manual is a description of piezoelectricity balance-type dust meter software.
This software is used for the acquisition of the storage data of piezoelectricity balance-type dust
meter, can save the data into the Microsoft Office Excel（*.CSV） files, and can read and display the
saved data files (*.CSV).

1）Set the baud rate of apparatus communication

The configuration of this software for computer is as follows:

・ CPU Compatible IBM PC with CPU more than PentiumⅡ
・ Interface a 9-pin COM port or USB 1.1 interface（note: when USB is used, a USB-
RS232c converter is required.）

・ Fixed disk The surplus space of fixed disk is more than 50MB when installation.

2. Installation program of software
① Before the installation of this software, we recommend that you close other application
programs. Insert the installation CD into the CD-ROM drive, choose the folder that the software
shall be installed, and click doublely the installation icon of such software (note: if such
software in old edition is in the machine, errors may occur when this software in new edition is
installed. Therefore, please uninstall the software in old edition before the installation of this
software.)
② After a few seconds, the installation software starts up automatically and display the picture of
figure 2-1（if the installation software cannot start up automatically, please knock the Setup.exe file
in the installation directory）, click OK button, and enter the installation picture of figure 2-2.

③Following figure is the confirmation picture of installation path of the software. Please click the
installation icon if no alteration is made.

④ Choose the Program Group for software installation. The installation program will default the
Program Group as the program group of “KANOMAX”. If no alteration is made, click Continue
button, and enter the installation picture of figure 2-4.

⑥After the installation finishes, click OK , the installation is completed successfully.

3．Use method of the software
3.1 Startup software
Click〖begin menu〗-〖program〗-〖KANOMAX〗–〖Piezobalance Dust Monitor Software〗
Start up piezobalance dust meter software.

3.2 Data Acquisition

Description：
1）Choose communication port: （COM1……COM8）

2）Set drive name

3）Set the file path of storaged data files

4）Input the file name of saved files

5） Click the button, read data, and display the data in the
datasheet on the left. The file name is displayed in following file lists
for next acquisition (in file list, click the file name to be read, and
display corresponding data in datasheet on the left).
6）Program state：display “reading data”.
7）Click the button, and close the software.
Attention:
1) Before reading data, please supply power to the instrument and put the
statue of power to "ON",if you press "reading key" when the power is not
supplied to the instrument,it may indicated error.

2)Prior to the acquisition of data, if the file name is omitted or irrlawful

file name is inputed, following information prompt will be ejected:

3 ） If selected disk drive cannot be written, following information prompt

will be ejected: (in this case, reset disk drives)

4) If communication fails, following information prompt will be ejected: (in

this case, please check the apparatus state and cable connection)
