Write conditional sentences for the following situations about Mary. The first one has been
done for you as an example.
1. Mary is not a millionaire. She won’t buy her mother a house.

1. Mary is not a millionaire. She won’t buy her mother a house.
If Mary were a millionaire, she would buy her mother a house.
2. Mary doesn’t have a spare ticket. She can’t take her brother to the concert.
If Mary had a spare ticket, she would (or “could”) take her brother to the concert.
If Mary doesn’t have a spare ticket, she cannot take her brother to the concert.
4. If there are lots of kids roaming around, I (will) try to avoid those blocks.
