Investors Bank & Trust (Boston, USA) – Fee Billing System Oct

This project was initiated to implement a new billing and revenue management system in the Bank’s Finance
Department. The new system was slated to replace the current systems for mutual funds & Institutional investors for
custody billing, accounts receivable and revenue realization. The successful implementation of a fee billing and
revenue management system resulted in a centralized, automated, and flexible platform to meet the Bank’s billing
and revenue reporting needs.

Contribution (Cognos Report Developer)

Responsibility:

 Created different types of reports like Grouped Lists, Crosstab, Chart and Combination charts using
Report Studio.
 Developed repots using filters, calculations and prompts.
 Involved in administration activities like scheduling single and multiple Reports.
 Creating List Reports, Grouped List Reports, Cross tab.
 Created report using cascading prompts, conditional variables and data formatting Principles.
 Formatting the reports using report studio facilities like Drill troughs, Master-details, etc In the report
studio.
 Involved in viewing the model of query subjects and query items by applying cardinalities, joins and
alias for resolving the loops.
 Created and developed new analysis combination charts and also modified the existing charts like line
and column charts.
 Creating Reports Using Conditional Blocks And Render Variables.
 Creating Reports Using Style Variables.

Jackson Warehouse System - Jackson National Life Sep

Jackson National Life Insurance is a Life Insurance product that consists of modules like new Business, policy
services, Re-insurance Agency, Moment, Client data bank, and Accounts. New business is a business brought by the
agent and his business is called a Proposal. Proposals will be approved by underwriters to convert into a policy.
These underwriters check for all the eligible criteria like Clients annual income, age, health, etc along with this
proposal needs more amount of money in suspense to convert into a policy. This includes internal and external funds
maintenance for the injurer. Agency module maintains all the details about individual and company agent. Moment
module maintains all the modification details of the insurer.

Contribution (ETL Developer)

Responsibility:

 Gathering Requirements and implement them into source to target mappings in loading, staging and
ODS.
 Interacting with Business analysis in understanding the Database requirements whenever debugging is
required without changing the code.
 Extensively used Informatica Functions LTRIM, RTRIM, DECODE, ISNULL, IIF, INSTR and date
functions in Transformations.
 Effectively worked on Mapping Designer, workflow Manager and Workflow Monitor.
 Used shortcuts for sources, targets, transformations, Mapplets and sessions to reuse objects without
crating multiple objects in the Repository and Inherit changes made to the source automatically.
 Applied Slowly Changing Dimensions Type 1 and Type II on business requirements.
 Effectively understood session Error logs used debugger to test mapping and fixed bugs in DEV in
following change
procedures and validation.

 Precisely documented mappings to ETL Technical specification document for all stages for future
reference.
