HOW TO ORGANIZE A
FITNESS EVENT
A fitness event can come in the
form of a short, single training or
exercise session, a group or batch of
sessions extended over a period of
time, to a full blown event with
many participants such as fun run
or marathon.
Cardiovascular endurance is the
most common health target among
the many health issues addressed.
Ex.
Obesity, hypertension, diabetes
1. IDENTIFY A GOAL, TARGET,
HEALTH ISSUE TO ADDRESS.

-It is important to have a target in


mind in order to plan for a proper
activity.
2. DO A RESEARCH.

- Learn the basic terminologies.


- Ex. Issue: Obesity
Terms: eating habits, risk factors,
BMI, measurements
3. BUILD YOUR TEAM

- Identify the members of the team.


- Leader must delegate tasks.
- Committees: food and drinks,
promotions, finance, registration
4. LOOK FOR A LOCATION OR
VENUE.

- One of the major concerns.


- Secure a right place for the event.
- courts, halls, pools, streets
- Be sure to have these venues
reserved beforehand.
5. DOCUMENT.

- before, during, and after


- pictures, videos, written records
- keep track of progress for
improvement

On a whole sheet of paper, you will supply some of the details
needed for the event.

Ex.
Health issue to address (weight management)
Terminologies (obesity)
Location (courts, halls, streets)
Team (committees)
Document (event title, participants, time, photos, videos)
Steps on organizing a fitness event:

Identify a goal, target, or health issue to address.


Do your research.
Build your team.
Look for a location or venue.
Document.
