Introduction

The first job of the introduction is to tell the reader what your topic is

and why it’s interesting or important. This is generally accomplished with

a strong opening hook. The hook is a striking opening sentence that

clearly conveys the relevance of your topic. Think of an interesting fact or

statistic, a strong statement, a question, or a brief anecdote that will get

the reader wondering about your topic.

LITERATURE REVIEW
A literature review is a survey of scholarly sources on a specific topic. It

provides an overview of current knowledge, allowing you to identify

relevant theories and methods in the existing research that you can later

apply to your research paper.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

Specifically, the study sought to answer the following question:

1. What is the average water consumption of students per day in glasses?

2. What is the 70th percentile of students drinking glasses of water per day?

METHODOLOGY

Research Design

To accomplish the purpose of this study the researchers used a survey method in

a quantitative design to know the number of glasses of water student’s drink in a

day. The researchers of this study aims to describe and explain the numerical data

to answer the problem.

Research Environment

The study was conducted in St. Paul College Paranaque, located in 0432 Quirino

Avenue, Paranaque City, Metro Manila. The researchers chose to conduct the

research to all grade 10 students.

Research Respondents

The respondents of this study were the Grade 10 students of St. Paul College

Paranaque who are coming to school in a face to face learning modality for the

School Year 2022-2023. The respondents were selected using a simple random

sampling.

Research Instrument
In this study, the data was collected based on the results of the self-made survey

questionnaire. For the reliability and validity of the data, the average mean and

percentile formula were used; this is checked by Mathematics Teacher

considering their recommendations.

Statistical Treatment of Data

The following are the statistical tools that are used in the study.

1. Average Mean

Mean =
∑ of the data
number of data

2. Percentile of the Grouped Data

Research Procedure

The researchers conducted the study to the Grade 10 students of the Basic

Education of St. Paul College Paranaque. The latters are enrolled in the academic

year 2022-2023. This study aims to know the result of the number of glasses of
water student’s drink per day and its percentile. Before gathering all the data,

researcher asks permission to the students and coordinated with the adviser for

help in conducting the survey. After gathering the data, results were tallied,

analyzed and finalized for formal writing.

Based on table 2 and the results, the percentile value of glass of water drunk by

students per day is ____.

CONCLUSIONS

(Write here a brief overview or introduction of your topic) The result

shows that ____ (average mean). Also, 70% of the students are

drinking glasses of water less than or equal to (percentile value)

RECOMMENDATIONS

1. Continuous practice of drinking water every day by grade 10 students and

other grade level.

2. Conduct of related mini researches in the other field of specialization.
