Assignment Activity Sheet – Week 13

Are you FOR or AGAINST the Legalization of Divorce

Marriage is very holy process in which two individuals or two hearts will become one flesh. And
people now a days had invented such ways on how to separate to a couple who chose each other
to live for the rest of their lives and to remind us that marriage does not only concern three
people the priest the groom and bride. It also concerns God, because he’s the one who joins the
two hearts to become one flesh.

I chose these topics, and I am against the legalization of divorce. People now a days have
invented such ways on how to separate a two lovers, remember that God is higher than us
human. Lots of us say that divorce leads to broken families, and none of us wants to have broken
families. The most intriguing couple who shocked the nation, the millennial nation, is the
Songsong couple. These are south Korean actresses and actors who met on a TV set. They fell in
love with each other and got married, but one day when they found out that their relationships
wouldn't work anymore, they got divorced. The first reason is being ungrateful to his or her
partner, which means only if you find out that her husband is having an affair with another
woman. The good thing about relationships is that if they don’t have a child, they don’t have
anyone to leave behind. The second good thing is that some men say that they want to file for
divorce because they are not yet satisfied with their present partners.

So remember that when it comes to marriage, the choice is a partner for the rest of their lives, not
a toy for them to collect as many as they like until they are satisfied enough. For those reasons, I
think divorce is the craziest thing that a man has made. Filing for divorce means you can get
away from your responsibilities as a husband and wife and as a parent. We should know how to
fight for our marriage and not divorce right away. We should fix and do the things that make
marriage go stronger. For those who claims and believe that court should be legalized in our
country. Could you please speak twice, because if that was your claim, then what is the essence
of that promise, "till death do us part"? So, in short, we should not have legalized divorce here in
the Philippines so that people can’t file for divorce or be separated from their partners easily. Just
to fix their marriage, they go for divorce. How could this make your relationship stronger if you
thought of divorce as separable from having a relationship with other women and men?
