WEEK 1-2 FOUR INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTIONS

TASK 1 (Answer the following questions through an essay)

1. What do you think caused the changes in Science and Technology in the course of
history?
2. Do you think the changes were necessary and why?

I think a lot of causes that changes science and technology for the course of history. Technology
has significantly transformed the way humans live, and so has affected human history.
Telephones, the Internet, and engines allow people and products to travel considerably more
quickly, and we can communicate immediately throughout the world. Looking at how the
various industrial revolutions lead us to where we are today is a useful method to understand the
influence of science and technology on society. These revolutions particularly first, industrial
revolution depicts that the technology is most likely helpful to the humans especially in
completing agriculture-based tasks. These machineries are able to help farmers to their crops and
other production. Invented water pumps and other hydro-related machines. The second period
introduces machineries, plants and that will become helpful in production, converting raw
materials into another product. The development of computers and the other gadgets used in
programming. Thus, it mostly affects the momentum in growth of the economy. Power and
electricity are also involved in third industrial evolution. Machines are self-powered, provides
lighting and a tool for communication and transportation. Most people today believe that we are
in the Fourth Industrial Revolution, in which are prominent since we are adapting and using the
benefits of the technology to do our tasks and activities. Today’s modern era has seen an
unprecedented increase in the usage of computers in many common applications. Predictive
texting is one example of artificial intelligence in our gadgets, and we now have autonomous
autos and pilotless flights.

1. As a student what are your thoughts regarding the 4th industrial revolution and how does
this affect your academic endeavors?
2. What is your personal opinion regarding robotization or automation of human activities?
