Pricing.

As Farmstead Foods, we have developed our pricing strategy based on current market trends and data in the
organic and locally-sourced grocery delivery space. Here are some numerical figures to illustrate our approach:

Pricing Strategy: We follow a cost-plus markup pricing model, where we typically apply a markup of 30-35% on
our sourcing costs and operational expenses to determine our retail prices. This markup range allows us to
generate a reasonable profit margin while remaining competitive in the market for premium, locally-sourced
products.

Competitors' Pricing Policies:

• Imperfect Foods: Their produce and grocery items are priced around 10-15% lower than our offerings,
as they focus on a high-volume, low-margin strategy for imperfect/surplus products.

• Local farmers' markets and CSA programs: Their prices for locally-sourced produce are generally 20-
25% higher than ours, leveraging the perceived premium value of direct farm-to-consumer sales.

• Traditional supermarkets: Their organic and locally-sourced product offerings are priced 10-15% higher
than our prices, relying on their established customer base and convenience.

Pricing Comparison: Our pricing for standard organic and locally-sourced produce is generally 5-10% higher than
industry averages, positioning us as a premium offering. For example, our average price for organic heirloom
tomatoes is around $4.99 per pound, compared to the industry average of $3.99-$4.49 per pound.

Multiple Pricing: We offer discounts of 10-15% for subscription-based orders or bulk purchases exceeding $100.
Additionally, we may run promotional discounts of up to 20% on selected products during seasonal campaigns
or marketing initiatives.

Price Lining: Our artisanal and specialty products are priced at a premium, ranging from 20-50% higher than our
standard offerings. For instance, our grass-fed, dry-aged beef is priced at around $18 per pound, while our
standard organic beef offerings are priced at $10-$12 per pound.

Profitability Monitoring: We aim to maintain an overall gross profit margin of 20-25% across our product range.
Our financial team closely monitors our costs and pricing to ensure we operate within this target range, making
adjustments as necessary based on market conditions and competitive dynamics.

Staying Abreast of Market Changes: We invest approximately 5-8% of our revenue in market research, consumer
insights, and product development initiatives to stay ahead of emerging trends and innovations in the
sustainable agriculture and grocery delivery industries.

By incorporating these numerical figures and data-driven insights into our pricing strategy, we can effectively
balance competitive positioning, profitability, and customer value proposition. This approach allows us to
maintain a strong foothold in the premium online organic and locally-sourced grocery delivery market while
ensuring long-term sustainability and growth for our business.

demographic.

• Radio: We may explore local radio advertising to promote our farm-to-table philosophy
and offerings.

3. Direct Marketing:

• Email Marketing: We send targeted email campaigns promoting new products, offers,
and engaging content to our customer database.

• Direct Mail: We utilize direct mail campaigns, particularly in local communities, to raise
awareness and attract new customers.

our brand.

5. Word-of-Mouth and Referrals:

• We actively encourage and incentivize customer referrals through referral programs and
loyalty rewards, leveraging the power of word-of-mouth marketing.

Advertising Budget: Our advertising budget is determined as a percentage of our projected annual revenue,
typically ranging from 10-15%. We allocate this budget across various channels based on their effectiveness,
reach, and return on investment (ROI).

Tracking and Measurement: We closely track and measure the performance of our advertising and
promotion efforts using various metrics:

• Digital Campaigns: Website traffic, conversion rates, engagement metrics, and attribution models.

• Direct Marketing: Open rates, click-through rates, and conversion data.

• Community Outreach: Event attendance, lead generation, and brand awareness surveys.

• Referrals and Word-of-Mouth: Referral codes, customer acquisition costs, and customer lifetime
value.

Campaign Scheduling: We combine regular, always-on advertising with seasonal campaigns tied to local
harvests, events, and promotional periods.

Packaging: At Farmstead Foods, we prioritize eco-friendly and sustainable packaging solutions that align
with our brand values. Our packaging is designed to preserve freshness, minimize waste, and enhance the
overall customer experience. We utilize reusable and compostable materials wherever possible, and provide
clear labelling and product information to educate our customers.

engage conscious consumers, drive business growth, and deliver an exceptional farm-to-table experience

Strategy and implementation.

At Farmstead Foods, we have a well-defined strategy and implementation plan to establish our online farm-to-
table grocery delivery service as a leading player in the space. Our primary objectives are:

1. Build a robust and sustainable supply chain: Our top priority is to establish strong partnerships with local
farmers and producers to ensure a steady supply of fresh, organic, and locally-sourced produce, dairy,
meat, and other artisanal products. We plan to implement stringent quality control measures and invest
in efficient logistics and cold chain infrastructure.

2. Develop a user-friendly online platform: We aim to create a seamless online ordering experience for our
customers through our website and mobile app. Our goal is to launch an intuitive platform within the
next 6 months, complete with features such as easy navigation, detailed product information,
personalized recommendations, and secure payment gateways.

3. Expand geographical reach: While initially focused on major metropolitan areas, our long-term goal is
to expand our delivery services to suburban and rural communities. We plan to achieve this through a
phased approach, first establishing a strong presence in key markets and then gradually expanding our
operations over the next 2-3 years.

4. Build brand awareness and customer loyalty: We plan to invest in marketing and advertising
campaigns to build brand awareness and position Farmstead Foods as a trusted source for high-
quality, locally-sourced, and organic groceries. This includes leveraging digital marketing channels,
influencer collaborations, community outreach, and targeted promotions. Additionally, we will
implement loyalty programs and exceptional customer service to foster long-term customer
relationships.

To ensure effective implementation and achieve our objectives, we will employ the following planning methods:

1. SMART goal-setting: We will set specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound goals for
each aspect of our business, including supply chain management, technology development,
marketing, and operational expansion.

2. Project management methodologies: We will adopt agile project management frameworks to ensure
efficient collaboration, adaptive planning, and timely delivery of key milestones.

3. Continuous monitoring and evaluation: We will establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to regularly
monitor our progress, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions to course-
correct our strategies as needed.

4. Risk management: We will proactively identify potential risks, such as supply chain disruptions,
regulatory changes, or competitive threats, and develop contingency plans to mitigate their impact.

5. Financial forecasting and budgeting: We will develop detailed financial projections and budgets,
allocating resources strategically to support our growth plans while maintaining profitability.

6. Sustainability and ethical practices: We will embed sustainable practices throughout our operations,
from sourcing to packaging, and prioritize ethical business practices that align with our values and
commitment to supporting local communities.

By adhering to these planning methods and executing our strategy effectively, we aim to establish Farmstead
Foods as a trusted and reliable online source for fresh, organic, and locally-sourced groceries, catering to
conscious consumers who prioritize quality, sustainability, and supporting local agriculture.
