Case Studies Guidelines

 Each student will complete selected case studies from Medical Nutrition Therapy: A Case Study
Approach. Specific questions from each case study are assigned as follows.
o Case Study 11 – Inflammatory Bowel Disease
 Answer questions 1-17 + *ethics
o Case Study 11 – Inflammatory Bowel Disease
 Answer questions 18-27 + *ethics
o Case Study 12 – Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD)
 Answer questions 1-18, 22, 24 + *ethics

 *For each case study, make application of the Code of Ethics and discuss a potential ethical concern.
Select 1 principle and explain how a practitioner can apply that principle to the case study.

 Each case study is worth 20 points.


o Any work copied and pasted/plagiarized will result in a zero.
o Points will be deducted for grammatical and spelling errors.

 Please note this is not a group assignment. All work must be completed individually.

 Case studies will be submitted online via Canvas.

 All materials used must be referenced. Cite references within your work and with a full citation at the
end of each response or on a separate references page. Use APA style formatting. A minimum of 2
citations from EAL and 2 from NCM are required for each case study.
